I -Hop ( International House of Pancakes), they are the only place to sell English style pancakes, ie thin ones rolled up instead of the round stodgy American ones with the breakfast. It is called International Passport breakfast and the pancakes come with lemon butter or otange sauce a la French. They do lots of other nice stuff too, best place for pancakes as you would think.

Aw but!! I like the stodgy American pancakes too Julie, - can't beat a "short stack" (especially with the 3 or 4 different syrups you get in IHOP[msntongue])
Just found out last time I qualify for the "seniors menu"[msnembarrased]

Ah, breakfast... For us it was Cracker Barrel almost every day because the quality is great and we're not fans of the buffet breakfasts to be honest.

Check out their menu at http://www.crackerbarrel.com/menu-br...cfm?doc_id=887

I just love their pancakes - they do a variety of toppings but you always get a warm mini glass bottle of mapel syrup to pour over - YUM! My husband usually went for the Old Timer's Breakfast (from their wensite) -

Two Eggs cooked to order with Grits, Sawmill Gravy, Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits, real Butter and the best Preserves, Jam n’ Apple Butter (on request) we could find.
    ~plus~
    Fried Apples or Hashbrown Casserole
    ~and~
Choice of Smoked Sausage Patties, Turkey Sausage Patties or Thick-Sliced Bacon

    I hope you'll give it a go!!

Got to be the Golden Corral. Even if it more than Sizzler or Ponderosa as there is more selection. Keeps us going until the evening meal. By the way they also do very good evening buffet meals with as much steak as you can eat.

I agree with the above, we love Golden Corral for evening buffet. Great selection. By the way pieman, I have got to ask you, are you from Wigan? It,s the 'pieman' bit that made me think. Chloe
