    Help panicking now!!

We fly with US Air tomorrow and its indirect via Philadelphia. I assumed we had to reclaim our luggage and then check in for domestic flight to Orlando. However, on another thread someone mentioned that the luggage would be automatically transferred to internal flight.
Has anyone flown this route before with US Air?

    Yes, more than once!

You'll get your boarding passes for both flights when you check in at your first airport. When you arrive at Philly, you go through Immigration, then collect your luggage to go through Customs. You don't have to check back in again (as you already have your boarding passes) so you just hand your luggage back in (follow the signs for transit passengers).

When you return home, your luggage will be checked in at Orlando to the UK and, because there are no US Customs to go through on the way back, you won't see your luggage again until you land in the UK (well, hopefully you do!).

Have a great time and don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back!

Thanks Blott. We are on our way now, and feel a lot happier about the flight etc.
