The Abbey and The Mummy!!!Eeekk

We will be staying at a villa on The Abbey at Westhaven v.shortly (3wks today to be exact). Has anyone stayed there or knows anyone who has? We just want to get a feel for the place, is it near facilities/the parks etc?......Also has anyone been on The Mummy and tell me what to expect?

Haven't been to the Abbey but the Mummy I can do.
It is a enlosed roller coaster but does not go upside doen. Does go backwards for a bit but is really not too bad.
I am a real scardy cat and if I did the Mummy anyone can[msnsmile2]

Abbey is a lovely quiet gated subdivision. The homes are newish and in particular the ones that back up to the lake and conservation are lovely with a view that goes on for miles. It is on 54 so convenient to the shops and restaurants on 27, Championsgate for access to 1-4 and the parks ( there is also a supermarket and a big M there) and 192 via old lake Wilson Road.
Mummy is a roller coaster in the dark, fast and no inversions, Space Mountain type. Goes backwards at one point. fire across the ceiling at another, bugs jump out of the walls, mummies, various animatronics and visual effects. Is there water somewhere as I came out with damp hair!!! Its good fun, but nowhere near as good as Spiderman in my opinion. The queuing area is nicely themed. And deceptive!!

I own a villa on The Abbey and must say it is a lovely development,maybe a little biased Julie has described it really well. Our villa over-looks gorgeous Orange Groves and the villas on the opposite side over-look the conservation area, so whevever you are you have lovely views. All the homes have been built to a very high standard and all the sidewalks(pavements)and drives are block paved. If you get on the I-4 at Championsgate, you are only one junction from 'World Drive' the Disney entrance, so you are ideally placed to get to eveything, but at the same time are in a quiet, peaceful area too. Best of both worlds. Hope you have a fantastic time...

We have stayed on the Abbey, and found it wonderful! Its a really nice community, and the Champion's Gate complex with supermarket and take aways are within 3 minutes. Easy access to the I4, and anything else you might wish for. You have no need to worry.

The Mummy: Like most brand new rides queues were horrendous but luckily the ride broke down and closed for a short while. As early as 11:00 fast passes were for early evening. We took advantage of the breakdown and managed to get on. First time ride was very impressive but not too scary. At times unexpected but very enjoyable.

The Abbey:Tranquilty with breathtaking sunrises yet just 10 mins from Disney. Eating breakfast on the pool deck looking out over the conservation area simply heaven. Sadly holidays have to come to an end but I will be back!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took me three years to find a villa I wanted to buy and then I found one at the Abbey.

Yes, holidays do come to an end, but you always the memories and pictures to look back on!!
