I live outside of Washington D.C. and they just had American Idol auditions here this week. I have an office that is several long blocks away from where the auditions were, but the lines were so long that they went all the way around my building! I had a hard time getting my car in and out of the building, the young people were "camped out" on the sidewalks and in the driveways in and out of the building. It appeared to be a madhouse. How in the world do they get them all through the auditions. I guess they listen to one or two notes and send them packing in the first auditions.
