FOX will hold auditions for American Idol. Contestants must be between the ages of 16 to 28. No one will be allowed to lineup prior to 6 a.m. on August 25. No alcohol, drugs nor weapons will not be permitted on the premises. Coolers and bags will be searched. Contestants may bring lawn chairs, sleeping bags/pillows, coolers, umbrellas, boom boxes, guitars and etc., but anything they bring with them must be carried through the process. No one under the age of 13 can camp out at the venue. The line will begin at the E/F lobby of the West Concourse/West Building. Release forms will be available the day of the audition. Bring two forms of identification that show proof of age and a photograph. Auditioners who are under 18 years of age must bring a parent or legal guardian to the audition. Only one friend or family member in addition to the person auditioning will be admitted into the interior of the stadium. Musical instruments will not be allowed during the audition. All individuals under contract (management or otherwise) as of the date of their audition for anything entertainment related, even non-musical, are not eligible to participate in the auditions

I live outside of Washington D.C. and they just had American Idol auditions here this week. I have an office that is several long blocks away from where the auditions were, but the lines were so long that they went all the way around my building! I had a hard time getting my car in and out of the building, the young people were "camped out" on the sidewalks and in the driveways in and out of the building. It appeared to be a madhouse. How in the world do they get them all through the auditions. I guess they listen to one or two notes and send them packing in the first auditions.

They probably have scouts who listen to them before they get to Simon Cowel and send them packing long before!!

The out takes are just so funny tho!!

They are better than the program itself!!
