We are going to Orlando soon and wondered if it is easier to do Busch Gardens from Orlando or from Clearwater.
Do you know how long it takes to drive from both places??

If I remeber rightly it's about equidistant. If you are doing Orlando first and then moving on to Clearwater for some R and R, I would save Busch until you get to Clearwater. That's what we did on our first ever trip to Florida many moons ago and we when we started to get "park withdrawal symptoms" and the kids started to moan about being bored we scooted off to Busch Gardens. We bought our ticket as a combi with Seaworld.
about the same distace from both if i can remember rightly.
when we did it last we saved for clearwater week, not quite so well sign posted from clearwater so don't forget the map.

Our villa is at Terra Verde on Poncianne Boul near 192 and we took just over 1 hour to drive via main highway to Bush Gardens. Can take longer to get back if you come back during the rush hour.
My kids just love Bush Gardens which had something different to offer. The thrill rides and shows are very good. Do not be put off because of drive. For UK guests it will take much shorter time than if you drove to theme park like Alton Towers or Thorpe Park.

when we stayed at Clearwater Beach it only took us 45 mins to get to Busch-from the 27 end of the 192 it takes us nearly 1 hour and a quarter.

I find driving in the States less stressful. If you try to avoid the rush hours and hour of US driving will seem like 5 minutes of UK driving (or at least where I live). Rush hours, well stopped is stopped anywhere...

I agree. For some reason, US driving is not stressful, whether one is driving long distances (we have done 403 miles over the course of a day with short stops only for lunch & tea) or slow moving city traffic. With a few exceptions (LA is one) US traffic is more orderly and predictable than the UK. Driving in the UK is usually a tense, nerve-jangling affair even on the motorways, let alone the nightmarish city rush. I find even the sub-100 mile drive from Wootton Bassett to London an experience to avoid if at all possible.
