Hotel(s) near Heathrow

Slightly off topic, but any suggestions for the best choice of Hotel near Heathrow for Terminal 3? My wife is travelling alone and it would be easier if she had direct access to the terminal. I am thinking of the Hilton, but am not totally sure how easy it is to get to T3 from there.

Hilton is next to T4 on the other side of the airport. I think all other hotels are off site on the Bath Road. All run shuttles to the terminals; about 5 to 10 minutes.The newish Marriott is very nice.

Used the Hilton at Heathrow the other weekend. It is opposite Terminal 4. I Had a 5 minute walk along a walkway with my luggage into Termninal 4 - took the lift down to the shuttle - waited for a train - then sat for 10 minutes on the train before it moved off. Got to Terminal 3 station - vast queues for the lifts gave up - used stairs. Total time from Hilton to Malaysian Airlines desk 45 stressful minutes.

I`ve used the Crown Plaza at Heathrow, it`s comfortable at very convenient. Shuttle bus runs frequently to all terminals and terminals 1, 2, and 3 are the nearest. 5 to 10 minutes transfer from hotel, bus stops at reception,and ticket can be purchased at reception or on the bus.

Thanks everybody. We seldom use Terminal 3 at Heathrow and even then it is a quick "Drop off". That's why I was unsure what the nearest hotel would be. I'll check out the Mariott and the Crown Plaza.
