arrived back in manchester 7am today, should have arrived yesterday. was anyone on TCY131 today? feel very sorry for the people with damage to property etc in orlando, hope they're soon back to normal. driving up to sanford it looked a mess!! Police presence at stanford trying to calm down the passengers, thought everyone did their best in a very serious situation. our kids thought it was an adventure, the salvation army were giving out food and drinks, and we were sent to a hotel for the night. First time in florida and we loved the place. Hope shamu was ok on friday though[msneek]

Glad you arrived home safe and well and sorry about the delay at Sanford. It doesn't seem to have spoiled your holiday and I bet the kids have some stories to tell when they go back to school.[msnsmile]

glad you are home safely, and that your hols were not spoiled, it is a terrible thing to happen and hope all those affected are ok.
Like Cowboy said at least the kids can talk about it and they were not scared.

Terry and Linda, glad you got out safely. I'm afraid the police have had their hands full especially with fistfights and arguments breaking out at the gas stations over the fuel shortage. The SW coast will take years to return to normal if Hurricane Andrew is a gauge for how these things work. 12 years later and many residents of Cutler Ridge and Homestead never moved back. Andrew was several times more powerful than Charley so you can figure out what it was like in comparison to the damage Charley caused.
