3 Tornados in Polk...

Charley now Cat 4 and has changed course and due to hit land at Captiva/Sanibel/Port Charlotte /Fort Myers................

4 Tornados have touch down in Polk county but no damage reported...........

Storm going to cross Florida ............

Very heavy storm here at the moment............

North east Polk county too. Tournado advisory, localised tournados could bubble up anywhere a sthe hurricane comes in. If you are out and see one approaching, get out of your vehicle, squat down in an unflooded ditch and put your arms over your head,,,,,

Thanks Julie, we are in the villa now, got a safe room (downstairs loo) full of pillows, water, snacks and flashlights etc,!!!

We were drawing up plans for a safe room in our middle bathroom for when we move down...hubby thought I was going over the top....a metal skin beneath the drywall....in the walls and ceiling....plus a steel door.....we were having that bath room remodeled anyway....because we wanted a spa bath in there..I think he now agrees with me......

Its gone very dark here again (calabay) Polk is under Tornado watch again

Dark here (near Champions Gate) too plus heavy rain, there was a Tornado near I4 not far from MCO!

Latest storm wave appears to have gone over us and the light has been turned on again. Media estimates the eye will pass over Orlando at about 9 - 10 pm. The eye is currently 95 miles south west of Orlando. This is going to be an experience!!!

It certainly will be, US all have hurricane parties maybe we should have a virtual one!!![8D]
