What exactly is happening with Frances?

I am getting a bit confused. I know we have one thread going but have been away till today and not sure what the situation is at present - Sunday. Is it lessening and what sort of damage is being caused and where?

Huge hurricane, now passing over pretty much all Florida. The eye is due in Kissimmee around 2 pm. Loads of damage at the coast with winds of 195 and one foot of rain already. It is pretty wild and woolly here in Celebration and it isnt even here yet, winds of 69 moh already recorded in Orlando in advance of the eye. Some subdivisions now without power, cable or water. Some reporting tree damage. Winds gusting to 80 mph expected through here with loads of rain. Not as intense as Charley but going on and on and on. Expected to take all day to cross Florida.

As of right now the centre is passing over the theme park areas. It has weakened from yesterday but there is still a great deal of wind and water. We are told that it is going so slowly that it will take six hours to pass over, so one of the main worries is from the amount of rain. Several estates have no power right now and there are flood warnings throughout the region.
Those of us who are here, are just listening to the rain and wind lashing outside hoping that it doesn't bring debris flying through the windows. We consider ourselves lucky because we have power, although the light do flicker and we have lost the TV for short spells.
This is bad because it is going to last a long time but so far it has not been as intense as Charley. I think in some ways it is more stressful because it is for so long.
