    US Menu

There are 13 of us going to Florida in January 2005 and I thought it would be a nice idea to do a American themed meal for us all before we go (Just to put us in the mood so to speak). I have already got hold of some Stars & Stripes tableware but am running a bit short of ideas in the menu department,Chilli fries and burgers is about the best I can come up with Oh and Apple pie any suggestions [?]

Well I’ll skip the boring stuff and go for a dessert of Key Lime Pie with a topping of proper Cheese Cake from Waitrose.

But you could do BBQ ribs (in the oven) with Corn on the Cob and baked potatoes with sour cream and chives or that chilli you spoke of.

Not sure we could make the mash in the true American style, though I'd add another vote for pumpkin pie to go with the Key Lime pie & Cheese Cake with a large dollop of ice cream and chocolate source

Hope you're not sending it our way Kym. It's still sunny here but no doubt when we go to Bluewater tonight we'll catch it.
Make it meatloaf on the menu and I'll be there. Sarah Lee lemon and lime cheescake taste just like key lime pie.
You could take the easy option and go to the Outback in Romford.

How about BAKED ALASKA for dessert? Is that not typically American? Whatever it is, I love it!

I have a good Key Lime pie receipt, can be made easy and tastes good too.

I have only found two Cheese Cakes meeting my NYC taste Waitrose & Pizza Express (UK side).
