California restaurants

we are thinking of going to California again and it is some time since we were there (15 years) Does anybody know if the same restaurants in Florida are in California, as a friend of mine said she did not find any many restaurant chains in California.

We were in California in 2002 and most of the usual chains you see in Florida were there. Working from memory we ate at Outback, Dennys, IHOP, California Pizza Kitchen & TGI Fridays amongst others, as well as the fast food places, McD, KFC, Taco Bell etc. whilst we were in LA & San Francisco. One we didn't see was Ponderosa but that was no great loss! In LA there is also a chain of Chinese restaurants which were very good if you like that sort of thing (the name escapes me). I wouldn't worry unduly, you won't go hungry!
