this may sound stupid but do they have set breakfast times in the disney hotels and restaurants like IHOP and golden corral say 8 till 10am as i'm a bit of a late riser and have to forceably get myself up especially if it was a good night!

although i'm driving the misses mad with telling her my plans, she thinks we will go to bed at 3am and get up for the parks at 7 lol.

It is the Golden Corral for us every time. We are late risers too and thier breakfast is served 8 - 11am. We just love the omlettes as well as all the other stuff. A great price too.

Just wandering off the subject of food slightly, if anyone in your party has a birthday, go to guest services when entering any Disney park and they give you a HUGE "it's my birthday" badge to wear. You are then guaranteed to get lots of birthday wishes off Cast Members - Sarah even had the ferry Captain on the ride back from the Magic Kingdom wish her Happy Birthday over the loudspeaker system and was delighted [msnsmile2]

Oh, we had a character breakfast included with our 10 day tickets last time we visited. It's our sons birthday on the 13th October, and we had a MGM breakfast on his birthday! He was thrilled. They gave him a cake, and had the whole restaurant sing happy birthday to him, he also got a card signed by all the characters! As he left, they gave him a balloon, and told him to carry it at all times. We didn't understand why until we were approached by every Disney team member, wishing him happy birthday, and making him feel really special. Shame it didn't last, as he let go of the balloon, and being helium, off it went! Still, he had fun whilst it lasted! I am going to pop on another topic about birthday celebrations for kids, as it will be his birthday again when we go this year!

For buffet the Golden Corral gets my vote too. As well as the the made to order ommelettes they will also cook you a fresh egg - at most buffets you're stuck with scrambled or a really rock solid poached egg.
For made to order the eggs benedict at IHOP is very good.

Cracker Barrel without a doubt! We ate there nearly every day for breakfast. It's great value and you have a massive choice. It's not buffet style but it's very clean and the food is fantastic.

Sorry, I'm not a fan of buffet style breakfasts and I freak out when I see dirty cutlery!!

    Have a great holiday [msnsmile]

I find the service in Dennys, IHOP etc to be a bit lacking. We walked out of two IHOPS after being left sitting for ages. Dennys breakfast are cheap and cheerful but I find it dead smokey..kitchen smells etc. Ponderosa gave me food poisoning after a breakfast buffet! There is always McD OR BK to. We like Croissants and that sort of brekkie, light, hard to find as everyone seems to have a sweet tooth!
Need to have a look at the other places mentioned as it is something we have not mastered yet a decent breakfast whilst eating out.

After reading all the above could just eat a Denny's breakfast, nice crispy bacon with 2 eggs over easy and a few Hash browns. Another great place for breakfast is Cracker Barrel, my grandchildren love it, especially the apple sauce. Sizzlers, Dennys, Cracker Barrel all our favourites
