Would I be right in believing that American kids return to school after their summer holidays end very soon..?
Therefore making the parks less crowded...
or are they off till after the Labour Day weekend.?

    answers on a postcard please.

Juat to make things even funnier- I am also in Mass and we start September 2nd!

So- even INSTATE the dates can vary!

Our friends live in Connecticut and they start August 25th.

So, not only does it vary state to state but school district to school district.

HOWEVER- the answer is yes, after LAbor day the parks are a little quieter. My cousin live in Florida and loves to go to Disney in September- she said for her- it seems one of the quieter months!
I hope so- as Myself and my daughter and heading down for a long weekend!!!!

Was that down to kids being back at School or due to the bad weather? we get there on the 19th and are a little worried about the length of queues and keeping two 7yr olds happy[msnsmile2]

Our snow dates are added on the end of the year. We get a calendar- right now we end June 20th with no snow days. We end June 27 with 5 snow days.

So, I think it is all due to local districts and such. Our friends in Connecticut get almost no days off of school - where are we get all the Jewish High Holy days(Hence my trip in September- it is Rosh Hashanah), Martin Luther King Day, and Veteran's Day.

i was even stuck on labor day ,as mentioned previously so it helped me a bit, when i was looking at it, they didnt seem to mention a lot of dates, so it didnt look comprehensive

i am going to ask if there is a website you can look at for the dates each year, but its beginning to sound like you'll have to look thru every state and district web site to get all the information you require each year
