Yes great idea, I always use my nationwide card for most purchases and get the commercial rate.<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Fairground
Hi All
Just used my Nationwide credit card to buy park tickets (From here of course and i would recomend them) and got a rate of £1.8205.
One good reason to buy your tickets before you go!

I got 1.83 from Moneycorp this afternoon just before closing. I got a tip on these forums that it often goes up on Friday afternoons just before close and this certainly happened today as it had been nearer 1.80 this morning.(I was transferring part of deposit for our new villa)

Actually, the US$ weakened after disappointing US payroll figures. The employment figures dented the idea that the US economy is back to sustainable growth with terrorism and rising oil prices just adding to the concerns.
The Federal Reserve meets tomorrow re interest rates. Rate went up by 0.25% in June and the majority of analysts expect a similar increase this time. There's also figures out this week from the Bank of England re UK inflation which are expected by many to remain below the 2% target. But, some economists see the Bank's quarterly inflation report on Wednesday as forecasting a rising CPI possibly indicating more UK interest rate rises.
