Thanks for taking the time to reply Steve. Much of what you say makes sense but I wondered if there was something else.
I suppose I should have qualified what we would consider to be 'a lovely...
Similar thing happened to us.
We went for around three weeks one winter and paid for pool heat. The pool was never right - it was emptying overnight though not sure where the water was going...
Did the Edinburgh>Gatwick>MCO route with BA last year because the price was reasonable (£520).
Wouldn't be in a hurry to do it again.
United via Newark is much better all round.
Agree with this. The food there is really fresh and tasty.
Very different from most touristy Florida eateries. Not about quantity, all about quality.
Just had a look - the pictures are incredible.
I agree it seems to be happening more frequently although maybe it's just that we hear more about it now.
Poor guy was just swallowed up by one...
It's also worth remembering that all the communities along and around the Ronald Reagan, including those next to Champions Gate, will be listed as Davenport, as will most of the communities on H27. ...
Speaking to a friend today.
She returned from Orlando a couple of days ago. Was there for a fortnight and the weather was terrible.
Have to say, I'm losing trust in Florida. Looking at all...
Keeping an eye on the weather as we will be there this time next year.
The weather apps say it is ghastly. Rain every day for the next week. Is anyone out there just now? Is it as bad as they say?...
There's just something not right about accepting bookings while a villa is on the market and could be sold at any time.
I can see the logic from a business point of view and I'm sure it's all done...
There are sites where, if you pay a little extra, you are covered for a refund if you turn up and find that the villa you thought you had booked, doesn't exist or is already occupied. It may be good...
Hi,
When I saw this thread, I knew I had seen the community but didn't feel equipped to comment because I wasn't really sure where it was.
Having driven past it today, I can say that, in...
You go to Orlando on holiday.
You buy theme park tickets (the tickets that are good for two weeks from first use), well before you travel. When you get to Orlando, the weather is rubbish and...
Saw that Keith. Sunshine State - not.
Same app shows glorious weather, blue skies, 0% chance rain, virtually every other holiday destination we like. Sod's law.
Been here almost a week now. To say the weather has been disappointing, would be an under-statement.
Does anyone know when the sun gets here?
I'm not really sure what you mean Christine, although I sense you are talking about me. Is there something about my post you find offensive or objectionable?
Or is it Garry's thread you don't...
One of the forum contributors had his Highlands Reserve villa burgled. They took everything.

Google 'Type A Personality'.
That's you that is. [msnmad]
I agree. The irony is, people tend to use 'walking distance to shops and restaurants' as a positive in relation to villas but somehow bad when talking about I Drive.
We really like staying at...
We enjoy a walk up and down I Drive.
Always plenty to see and do.
Thanks all for the info and thanks davealscop for the link.
I think it's an excellent option to have - would certainly be something we would look at when choosing which community to stay in.
Hi,
I saw on another thread that Glenbrook has a daily shuttle to the parks/shops.
Don't want to start an off-topic tangent on the other thread but can I ask for more details about this...
That is an excellent idea. Surprised more communities don't look at this.
Is there a charge?
You can get a real feel for the community using google maps, street view.
Never stayed there but geographically it's a superb location.
You won't get a villa with two bedrooms - in the main, three-bedroom villas are the smallest for rental in Orlando.
You can either get a three-bedroomed villa or a two-bedroomed condo. If you opt...
