I know Manny's is not everyone's favourite - but it is one of mine! So delighted to pass the old Houlihans restaurant on 192 and see Manny's coming soon! Not so far to travel to get a fab salad and great steak!

That's great news Jean as Manny's is one of our favourites too. Wonder if they will be opening by the time we go in November?
Opening was planned for November, no idea if they are working to plan.
Dave
we were in Hanes city the other night and they said hopefully either just before or after Thanksgiving
We passed Houlihans & noticed the sign the other day. We were at Mannys, Haines city last night & they told us it's a 'franchise' opening sometime in November.
Hopefully they'll be open before we go back home mid- December.
Andrena
best take them a number (licence) plate then!!!
Do I get a free Bud??
I heard that rumour in the summer and work started in August but no confirmation until now, good news.
Love Manny's and strangely enough I even love there house salad.
We fly out in the morning so will have to check the progress.
They put a "Mannys Coming Soon" sign outside last week and work has started on the building. Within walking distance of us too. Very handy!
Hi
Can I ask what Marker on the 192?
Can I ask what marker on the 192?
Don't know the marker but it's quite a long way down towards the 27 possibly around marker 4????
If I remember rightly, the markers only start at 4 which is around Rolling Oaks, so it would be between Marker 3 and 4, if there was a 3.
It's close to Orange Lake Country Club and Vista del Lago.
Andrena
This should help you place it. That's 429 going down the middle.

I only know its going to take me 3 minutes to get there from Indian Creek , instead of 20-30 minutes to Haines City. i think they are playing the 'franchise' thing at Haines City because they know they are going to lose a lot of the 192/27'crowd who do the 20+ minute drive. i don't think Manny would allow his reputation to be tarnished!! But The proof will be in the eating, eh?- I'm happy:)
Hi Jean.
Most Food Outlets are now Franchises, but they have to Adhere to all the Standards of the Original Restaurant, this one will cost you a Million Plus.......... http://mannyschophouse.com/MCH-Franchisee/index.php (Sorry if I am not allowed to Post a Link)

I just know I WILL be there in January, yeh! :):):)
Went to the Haines City one last week. I asked and was told the 192 one was opening in December. Shame as we will have left before then, will have to wait until next year.
It will cover a huge catchment area so if the wait time is horrendous could end up going back to the original one.
Wow thats such good news.
Val
Have been passing the new one on the 192 a few times since arriving 3 weeks ago. It's coming along nicely. The inside lights have been on the past couple of nights and the big Manny's sign has been lit as well. Hopefully it will be open on schedule before we go back home mid December. Have been down to Haines City a few times and food is as good as ever. Maybe when the new one opens it will reduce the wait times at Haines City.
Great! only 10 weeks till we go back - although the one on the 192 should be open by then, it probably will attract all our snowbird friends which will make that one very busy..but hopefully the Haines City one a lot less so :)
We drove past there today and I very cheekily went in and asked and they hope to have the soft opening next Monday. Guess they do not want to start Thanksgiving weekend. Looked very nice inside.
Were about on the 192 is it? is it West by Texas Roadhouse ?
It's just before you get yo Lindfields
Andrena
I hope they don't spoil it by opening too many franchises I like Mannys because it's an independent restaurant not a chain !
Went past it last night and it's still not open yet,
They told us they wouldn't be opening for the public until December 1st at the earliest, although they were supposed to be having a soft opening tonight.
The interior is all finished and ready, just the paperwork to be signed off I think.
Hope they open before we leave next week.
Andrena
I did read elsewhere that they are opening on 7th. Good for us as we arrive on 8th. Would be good if they offer some sort of reservation system as we didnt go too often to the old one as even with the Call ahead there was still often a wait. At least this one we are more likely to be passing and see f it is busy rather than have a long drive .
We went past last night and all lights were on and looked open with cars outside
Eric
We have been passing most nights so have been able to watch progress. The lights were on again last night about 8.30pm and although there were a couple of cars and trucks in the car park it's not open yet. We fly back to the UK from Miami at the end of next week so I guess it will be something for our next trip. Have been going down to Haines City and it's as busy as ever. Hope it gets a bit quieter down there when the new one opens.
It was busy this afternoon and packed tonight, but it was just a soft opening. We asked when it was opening officially, but they still don't have a set date, early next week they said.
When we passed tonight the car park was very busy. Will probably give it a go one evening this week and see how it compares with the other locations.
Manny's is now open.
Yes!!!! Its only 47 days till we are back, so that will be one of our first stops!! Even if it is busy we will still be there!
We saw it open just before we were due to come home. However we had already planned to go to the Longhorn as we always do on our last night. We have a great rappor with several of the staff there and they usually give us a free drink on our first and last night. We were among the first customers the night they first opened and some of the same staff are still there.
Might give Mannys a try next time.
