Day out to Clearwater
G'day Peeps,
We are looking at having a day out at Clearwater on our upcoming vacation. We have never been there before, so don't know what to expect. Any ideas of what is worth doing there during the day. We will have my 1-year-old granddaughter with us. Beast beach, things to see and do, places to eat are all of interest. Also, where to park to minimise walking (and hopefully free) would help.
TIA

I took my friend from Lyon to Caladesi Island and we loved it. White sand beaches that are (or were when we were there) not crowded. It's a bit of an adventure as you have to take a boat ride to get to it.

We go to St Petes Beach. Car park opposite publix you have to pay but right on the beach.

This sounds good, cheers.

Little Toot at Clearwater Beach near Pier 60 is the best dolphin sight seeing boat as you are down close near the water. For adults who enjoy fishing we charter the boat called 'strike zone' run by Captain Gary.

We like to out on the Seascreamer, only one time we didnt see any dolphins they offer you to come back and ride for free.... the beaches are beautiful, the water was warm, tiny fish swimming around your feet... free pedicure lol... lots of car parking... havent done shopping as its usually boiling hot and we go home from there... highly recommend

We usually spend the best 2 weather days of our Florida holiday in Clearwater, that’s gives us time to take in the lovely Clearwater beach, plus have a drive down to St Johns pass village for a ‘look around’ and a thrilling ride on a jet ski !
