i've noticed that even if your poll is very interesting it could fall from the premiership position down to div. 4 or the amatuer leauges if nobody is replying to it
which is a shame really :)
-
id like to see people making suggestions to the question as above
the only way i suppose would be to reset the poll when eight suggestions have been made
which is what i was hoping the lockout was about
-
ive noted that at certain times your allowed to vote again and at other times your not given that option!!
-
is a record kept somewhere of who has voted re above sometimes you can/cannot vote
-
20-19 hrs now i'm able to have another vote?????
-
20-47 now reset to everyone incl.
-
i presume that means any one looking at the forum can vote but only members can post replies??
-
-
haven,t seen the option to hide the vote on this one but did on my other!
-
Tezz......how much coffee have you had today.......[:o)][}:)]

you can't seem to alter the poll questions into different sizes and colors (colours)
-
once you've been in and changed your fonts, colours and sizes you can't seem to change your mind as the both instructions are being retained
-
dont understand what that format mode is doing!
-
you can space those faces out they were getting crushed before
-
Good grief Tezz, are you having some sort of turn talking all to yourself in here? :D I think it's time you got out before it's too late! ;)
-
-
Ah hah, a fellow gadget fan! Can you tell me how you got rid of the results view please?
Thanks
-
click the edit poll icon
theres three boxes at the bottom of the screen , tick the box to reset, and save changes:D
-
sorry angua that will reset the results not hide results page
-
sorry angua that will reset results not hide results screen
misread your question
-
sorry angua that will reset results not hide them
this is 3rd time of trying this
-
Not to worry but can you remember how you did the "hide results" thingy? If all else fails, I'll have to follow your lead and create a test poll too.
-
right thats were my answers went a page 2 has been created
on creating the new test, was given the option to vote and or see results
after voting that options disappears and then you see the results all the time
-
That's what I saw when I created my poll but I thought that it related solely to my viewing the results before voting not other forum members viewing options. Doh! I think I'll give it a go just to get it straight in my head but thank you for your help in sending me in the right direction. Much appreciated.
-
just reset my ? poll
then i got the vote/show poll screen again
clicked the show poll screen of course everything now set to zero
i get the impression you can either vote or show poll screen but can't do both
i have to say am not a techy just sorting it out like you!!!!!!

Yes, I also found that, after viewing the results, you have to come out of the poll and go back in to get the voting option again
I think we'd better suggest to John that he might like to create a test area so people can practise and he can periodically empty it of failed attempts!! Right, I'm off to give it a go.
-
are your getting the chance to vote again every time i'm not!!

i hope i'm not jumping the gun here

Okay, doing this step by step.
First created new poll with text and options, clicked to "post new topic".
Screen informs me that that the new topic was posted.
Screen didn't return to the post so I had to refresh to access the poll and.......
......it takes me straight to the poll with only the options showing, dagnamit!
If I want to view the results, I have to click on the appropriate button
If I want to go back to vote, I have to exit the poll and go back in to view the voting options again.
It doesn't look quite the same as when I created my first poll, way back when, so I'm guessing that perhaps John has made some amendments to the defaults to avoid anyone else making a mistake. Either that or each member has to decide how they want to view future polls when they enter their first poll thread.

Oh hell, it's a flipping outbreak - now there are two of you! :D

No! I'm sure you're not. Lots of people have put test posts in here. It's just there's lots of other useful information too so I just wondered if the Administrators might find it easier to have a specific test area that they can clear easily.

blott:D
angua
just tried your test to vote
then tried to vote again couldn't
but it was showing the results screen

Nope, I'm not getting an opportunity to vote again either. I should think that's quite correct or it could turn into a Bush election.
