flag shop in old town got one there last week for someone who asked us to bring one back
Thanks, will have a look when we land, if not then pop into old town.
Chris wouldnt they be cheaper before you go, JJB sports normally have them amongst others with Euro 2004 coming up there will probably be a few places on ebay as well selling them. When do you go?
Steph
We dont go til July. I have been to the usual places but no one seems to have any. Must admit
I hadnt thought about ebay. Will check it out. Thanks
We've just ordered three flags from www.theflagshop.co.uk, price includes postage. You could check them out.
Lesley
Thanks Lesley., will have a look
Chris
Go to Soccer Soccer found in most large towns in the UK. £2 each for St George or Union Jacks. We got ours there prior to going out for the last two Cricket tests.
Also as it is St George's day soon, i know places like clintons are selling england flags. If not, i would agree to look on ebay as everthing seems to be on there!
Thanks folks, have found some on Ebay and they are on the way, £14:99 for 9ft by 5ft so they
should look great on the flag pole:D
What are you going to use them for?
Im going to put them on my flag pole on the side of my house:D, not all at the same time the
others are spares

Your house here or in Florida.
If it's the U.S. then I would suggest that you throw up the Stars & Stripes as well.
Our American cousins appear to be very much flag flyer's.
I suppose that's why many of their 'enemies' burn the US flag.
I think our 'enemies' burning the Union Jack just doesn't have the same effect on the UK public.
I wonder why that is???
We live in England, ive always flown the flag. Copied the idea from our first visit to
Florida in the 80's. Just that they were looking threadbare and needed some new ones.
Hi:)
Don`t forget the stars & bars !!![msnwink]
Your in the South you know

If you haven't got any yet, I bought a giant England Flag and sticker in Sainsburys today for £2.99 as I promised my nephews we'd put one up.
Steph
I have, but we have a sainsburys near us so will pop along on the way home, need to stop
at the post office anyway
Thanks
A word of caution for anyone thinking about flying the St Andrew's Cross - the confedirate flag is based on this flag and sadly both can have racist/extremist connotations in the deep south. We find it very sad that when all around are flying their national flags that ours can be offensive to some ( especially with our national heritage of equality, a man's a man for aw that etc).

Drew I have been having a battle with my local council for the same reasons above. As far as im
concerned im flying my countries flag and if people have an issue with it, then dont walk past
my house and look at it.
If its offensive to some, which no doubt it is, then my philosophy is that its like the telly
if you dont like it turn it off, or in this case dont look :D:D:D:D
i'll second that chris.
dave
If the council say you can't fly your countries flag then it's they who are being offensive to you.
Ps I've took off my borg clothes for a bit to fly mine
pps that won't make sense to some now I've changed my avatar
benfilo
Totally agree, but my council are so PC its a joke. Anyway im still flying it and will continue
to
probably some idiot kicking up a fuss to make his job seem more important than it is . I bet they wouldn't dare complain if it was a foreign flag, nor should they , but you should't be discriminated against for being English (isn't that racism)
benfilo
well going slightly off topic, anyone seen the Egg advert where they are going to sell turf to
the english, :D:D:D:D
Before you fly too many flags I would check in you HOA rules ours does state one only.
Its worth checking when they can fine you $10 for not putting your bin back up thr drive, I shudder to think what they may do to you for flying too many flags...........[msnscared]
Hi:)
Which Confederate flag ?
Do you mean the Battle flag ?
If so I think it is on the Mississippi state flag any way.
How sad that people are scared to display their national flag.
Fly your flag friends !!!!!!!! what ever country your from.
Ian[8D]
I alway fly my flag on the car( Wales) and was pulled over by a policeman was told that only the Queen can fly flags on her car, If I was stopped again I would be fined. the detective next door bought me a larger one, no problem and still flying it 4 years later.
I think more people should fly their flags
Hear! Hear! We are proud of our nation, we are always amazed by the amount of flags flying all over America, they are really patriotic, so why shouldn't we be.:)
If I dare say, Modern Political correctness stops us, also the far right have in my opinion
STOLEN the Union Jack, we as a nation should take it back off them and fly it proudly
can anyone on this forum say that when they visit a foreign country, they are offended when they see that countries flag flying?
If it carries on in less than a generation we will have no national pride at all, and if you have no pride in yourself how can you respect others? (hm. I know what I mean but can't seem to put it into word properly,I'll have another think)
