Looks like oonce you've satyed ina villa you too have caught the bug for using a villa.
I take it September worked out for you this year as the Children have finished school. Should be quiet for you as US and UK children will all be back at school.

Hi Christine,:D
We usually go end of june as thats when our schools stops for hols and as I worked in education I had no option but to take holidays during term break. I've since moved from education so can take hols anytime and Sept worked out fair bit cheaper(even though its still cheeky of us to take kids out of school) We absolutely love the villa I didn't want to leave last year there nicer than our own home!!![msnwink]

Hi Melanie,
Just wanted to say welcome to the forum - like you we are stuck with school hols for a while yet as our daughter is about to start her GCSE courses and our youngest is 9, but we always manage to get 'home' somehow, just love Florida[8D]

Hi Dawn,
Thankyou for kind welcome. I know!!! Its going to be long summer[msnsad]our eldest has just sat her highers(as they are here in Scotland) and going on to her final year at Secondary so we can afford to have two weeks off term time.
Love your villa!!! Our eldest is looking to go to america next year on a football scholarship which just means I'll have to travel over there more often[clap]

Aah exams! Our youngest has just finished A levels so we're waiting for the results and hopefully confirming his Uni place before zooming off to Florida...and making the most of the cheaper flights!

Welcome to the forum Melenie :D We are awaiting the results of As, GCSEs and job interviews, so we are doing Florida as a family this July. It will give us a chance to think of something elese for a while
-
Thanks for kind welcome ShirleyD[msnsmile] It's always something isnt it? I can hardly believe my eldest sat her highers ther it seems like yesterday I was worried about her first day at school[msnembarrased] My daughter told us last year that this was definately last holiday with family until I starting talking about Florida again(very loudly) and said a million times (again very loudly) ok thats me off to book florida[msnsmile2]It just wouldn't be the same without her Oh July sounds bliss that when we usually go - late June early July although going in Sept gives us couple more months to save I suppose[msnscared]

Welocome to the forum Melanie [msnsmile2] Our daughter just finished her GCSE's on Friday - hooray!! The results come out when we are in Florida [msnscared]

Welcome to the forum Melanie.

Welcome to the forum Melanie. Thank goodness our kids are well out of school and Uni so all those worries are over for me.
I am sure you have found staying in a villa much better with the kids - they have their freedom and you have yours.
We love September there as the weather is much better for us. Still lovely, warm sunny days but not the high heat you get in summer and the parks are quieter too.
-
Welcome Melanie. We went last August into September. We originally wanted to be there 5 days before we went but it cost £1000 more! Took children out of school for some of it on the understanding they worked their socks off to catch up (eldest was going into yr 11). Autorised the holiday but then received a letter at half term about her percentage of absences. If we had gone at Christmas more detremental to her education (exams in Jan) but percentages would have been ok[msnmad] Patrks were very quiet, great time to go and we are definately going that time of year again.
-
thanks to everyone for your kind welcome[msnsmile]sundowner - We just love the villa stayed in 5 star hotel the year before which was fab but nowhere near as fab as the villa we were in southern dunes and loved it!! And you right we hummed and haad over doing hotel or villa last year but decided for privacy sakes especially with us taking our daughters friend the villa would be ideal and we were not dissapointed[msncool]
sammibabe - kids!! who would have them!!![msnwink] I have read that Sept a bit cooler and parks much less busy so that will be really good we bought our disney tickets at weekend now just need to organise car hire and tickets for seaworld which is a family favourite oh I'm getting all excited again just talking about it[msnembarrased]

I think half the fun of a Florida holiday is the planning before you go. Makes the whole event last even longer. Last year for months before we went we debated what and when over Sunday dinner. Did itineries and redid them; great fun[msnsmile2]

Hi Melanie, welcome to the forum. You seen to have got the Florida bug just like all the rest of us.[msnsmile2]
My youngest has just started work, so we will be able to travel outside of school holidays now:D
