Just started in Manchester about 1hr ago at Heaton Park. Very light flakes, it looks like it might be worse later.
We have had very fine snow here in Berkshire since about 10am, it was the same at Gatwick when I picked up my son at 11.30am. The sun is shining brightly here now and no more snow but we are forecast to get lots more tomorrow.
Just started in Bromsgrove Very cold & Windy
Carol
Snow has just arrived with us in Cambridgeshire. It's forecast pretty bad here tomorrow:(
on and off here in wakefield west yorkshire all day ,
but its freezing [msnscared]
Just a sprinkling in Wilmslow, Cheshire. only settled on the edge of the roads so far. Hope it stays that way!
We had some here on the south coast mid afternoon but not sure what's happening now. Have drawn the curtains to shut out the cold.
We are in Ireland at the moment and think we will be getting snow too.........its freezin!![msnsad]
We need to get to Manchester airport to morrow night for our Tueseay flight to Orlando.
Eric
A light flurry of snow here in the northwest.Forecast is heavy snowfall for tomorrow.
We have a dusting here in Bristol.

It's been snowing here in Kent since around 1 and is getting pretty thick now. Trouble is my daughter has to be in London for an exam at 9am so hoping we dont get up to too much more in the morning and the trains are running ok.
No snow down in Devon, but hubby is up in Alcester and not due to drive back until tomorrow evening so goodness knows what it will be like by then as it is supposed to be moving west later tomorrow! Have to wait and see.
Sandra
Very thick and heavy in Surrey
Heavy in the north east and lying too Just had a peep outside and the roads are clear but the pavements and gardens are covered. Yippeee
Absolutely nowt here (Clevedon, North Somerset).....:(:(:(
Would like just enough to cover the car so I can look out of the bedroom window & know there's no point in even trying.....
(Please)
(Pretty please)
we have in Brighton south east coast looking good.....
having one of the baby grandaughters tomorrow and tuesday as mummy goes back to work after a year off..... great start!!!!
was planning on feeding the ducks etc.... dont think i will risk going out with Summer..... right name wrong season!!
A light dusting here in Hampshire which seems to have stopped now but it is very cold brrrr....
Great, isn't it typical, first sign of snow and all the trains are cancelled, no bus services in London? Don't know how far they will get but as he's working other side of London, hubby came back after about 15 mins to try and get her there on time. They were told UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES would the exam be rescheduled so she won't be happy if she does manage to get there and the examiners don't.
I know we dont usually get a great deal of snow but you would think they would have an idea how to keep services running by now. Other countries cope with far worse.
Steph, since they are telling us all in London and the Home Counties not to go anywhere that isn't essentail, that seems like a dangerous stand to take by the examining board
It is so thick on my car you can't see my learner top box[msnoo]
Hubby got to Heathrow OK this morning, but heavy snow there and his 7am flight hasn't left yet.
Only a skittering here in Swindon.

that what I thought Heather and now that they are about 10 mins away just checked the website andall assessments have been cancelled as the 3 sites are shut. So they've wasted all that time and paid the congestion charge only to have to turn round and come back again.
I think it is because they have to pay the outside examiners to come in so were trying to emphasise that they would miss out if they didnt attend individually.
well..... Brighton has come to a standstill!! most of the schools are closed..... gritters were out last night but apprently not worth getting them out now as it wont make any difference, all buses in Brighton not working.... we have so much snow is fab!! diesel my dog absolutely loves it!!!
we must have a good 4 inches now and a good foot due later today and its still snowing now!!
This morning 6:15am, neighbour took 30 mins to get off his drive. 1 hour later he returned unable to get through Epsom Town(half a mile away). Roads closed unable to get to work M25 at reigate hill and A2 no go near Bexley.

West Sussex has pretty much ground to a standstill. The junior school is open, so youngest has gone off, but the secondary school is shut - daughter was supposed to have 2 exams today, just hope they don't push them into next week as we are supposed to be flying out to Florida Monday (timed for when the exams were finished!). Having spent New Year in Lapland and seeing how they just carry on, I find it incredible the way we just cannot cope!
We have at least 10 - 12 inches in Purley, Surrey .... and it's still snowing!- just went for a walk to the little local shop and it's like a ghost town, albeit a very beautiful ghost town, managed to take a few photos so once I've uploaded them I'll post a couple.
Love to see some photo's of the snow at home, I can just about remember what it looks like [msnwink]

The congestion charge has been suspended today Steph, so some good news [msneek]
Snowing here in Pewsey - am loving it [msnsmile2] Youngest son was not too impressed as school is still open but the eldest has taken his Wakeskate and is sliding down the local hills on it.
Lovely photo's Caroline.
We had a flurry of snow that lasted less than one minute and the sun is shining but it is cold.

I took Andrew to the station at 6 am this morning and managed to get there and back albeit slowly. One hour later he rang to say there were no trains from London Bridge going south so he could not get to work after all. It then took him ages to get back home. Stuart managed to get up to London and into work but they have been told they ought to leave by 2pm. Just as well as our train service is now very poor and getting worse. Looks like I will have both of them home tomorrow.
My road in South Manchester at 0830 GMT today:

That grey sky produced a fair bit more snow later on, but it is melting now.
Not the best day to have new windows fitted!! (yes, we're having new windows fitted today!)
We had snow on the ground here in Leicester this morning and it's now falling again ( late afternoon ), really fluffy large flakes, it looks like it's going to be around for the next few days.
We have had nothing like this for quite a while, and everything is looking so beautiful.
We should have been going to NEC today as well but decided not to risk it (and we only live 30 mins away).
Sorry to hear about all of those with exams. This will just put more strain on them.
Just drive the 30 miles home from Burnely to Eccles, 10 minutes quicker than normal due to very light traffic.
