Best value
Everybody has their faves but the faves might be the place you can only go to once on your hols, but it could be an everydayer! What's the place to go that gives the best value for money? I'm sorry if it means people repeating their list but I don't know a lot of the places so wouldn't know if it was good value or not[msnembarrased]

Hi Samantha,
Personally my choice for a great meal at a good value would be Carrabas on the 192. Some of the high priced places we have tried we have been really disappointed.
-
One of our previous guests left a note in our comment book about The Golden Corrall being very good. We decided to try for ourselves last week. The setting was a little dockside canteen like place so first impressions with me were not so good. However if you can get over having plasticky plates to eat off the choice of food was actually very good. It's an all you can eat buffet type of place and the four of us ate heartily for just $33.
It wasn't my favourite place to eat but good if you are looking to budget eating costs.

you cannot beat it for value but its not somewhere i would choose to eat. Im holiday and want nice food not just cheap. You can get far better food for not that much more. We had a slap meal for 8 with drinks (and alcohol for around $120 at chillis . Quality is 100 times better than GC. Service was spot on too.

Chillis is a favourite of ours too.

Chillis Outback, Cracker Barrel,Sweet Tomatoes, Manny's and Ruby Tuesday's none of these will break the bank [msnwink]

For an 'all you can eat' place Whistle Junction is the one for me. Their corn bread is so scrummy
-
We're Chillis people. The food is good and the kids menu is varied which is hugely important to us. Also Carrabas for something abit "nicer"!!
-
Bob Evans for us - it's really good value for money, and the food is lovely too (especially the chicken pot pie).[msnwink]

Chilis for us also we like just sitting around the bar eating and people watching. Very reasonable and 9 times out of 10 good food.
-
We were disappointed that chilis stopped the awesome blossom (onion starter) as, as a family we could all share it.[msncry] Outbacks is good, but not quite the same.
However, for value, on this trip we would rate BJ's Brewhouse above anything. unbelievable portions - you definitely need a box. Good atmosphere and service.
-
Not a fan of Chilis...the one near use closed down because no-one used it...
-
In Florida? I thought not was great and I have eaten at most. Very good food, good service and very reasonable.

We went to Chillis last night. The cost of a nachos starter, 4 meals (2 children 2 adults) and one very large Molten Chocolate cake was just $55
-
I also like Olive Gardens for dining in the evening very relaxing atmosphere, also reasonably priced

We go there a lot for their soup and salad dinners..hubby does not like the place..so its just me and my daughter..and I'm not that into their main dinners..but the soup and salad is very good value...we stay there for a few hours..
I have to say in FL the Outback on 92 is first class...

Macaroni grill is our favourite, going again tonight!

On my last posting I said about what good value MG was, and that I was going there that night....well we did we had a fantastic meal, however my meal came out just a few minutes after the rest of the familie's, it was no great problem (I didnt even feel the need to complain, it was so short a wait) when we got the bill the waitress said that as there had been a delay with my meal the chef had knocked it off the bill! We spoke to the manager to thank him, he was very apologetic (there was no need for him to be really). Just proves what a good restaurant MG is, customer service second to none!

The one on I Drive is closed and is now a Brazillian Churrascaria. Not sure if there are any others in the area.

Best value for us is definitely lunch at Villa de Flora. This is a high quality buffet where we can easily eat 6 or 7 quality courses for $19.99 per head adult, including soft drinks.
We don't eat anything else much that day and can barely walk as we always over induldge as the food is so tasty. No two days are the same at the atmosphere is like being sat outside a cafe in the mediteranean. It is covered by a huge glass dome, so feels like you are outside, even though you are in an air conditioned space - bit like the dome at Center Parcs if you have ever been , but much much much bigger. Located just off the I4/192/International Drive South.
If you are ever in Orlando for Christmas , it is great for Christmas lunch too.
