Italian food?
Hiya
We are now booked up to go and I love all things Pasta, we have tried Olive Garden before (someone in our party god raw chicken, another got plastic packing in their melted cheese!) but can anyone suggest somewhere else for a good Lasagne or Spag Bol?
Thanks
Pamela

Carrabas do a great Lasagne, great service too.
There are a few around but the one we have visited is on H192 near TGI's.

The very best is La Forchetta on 17/92 near to Kissimmee town just before you go over the bridge going south. It is owned and run by a lovely Italian couple and their family. It's used by locals, which for me was an excellent recommendation and I can fully understand why they use it! It has murals painted over the outside and certainly isn't a grand edifice, but inside is great and the food is delicious. You don't need to book but sometimes you may have to wait for a table. It is well worth the drive. [msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
Here's an article in the Florida guide that I wrote about this lovely restaurant: http://www.orlandovillas.com/florida...-italiano.aspx
PS: We only use Olive Garden at lunchtime for their "soup and salad" lunch. The spicy sausage soup is a favourite.[msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

Hi Carla
Sounds fab!! I love Italian food and this sounds great (and I love Downtown Kissimmee too). Is it kiddie friendly coz we would, of course, have the four monsters in tow!!

Hey, they're Italian! Of course it's kiddie friendly.[msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

The spicy sausage and lentil soup at Carrabas is absolutely scrumptious and is my favourite. I have to have some whenever we are over there.[msnsmile2]

How about trying Café De Antonio in Clelebration. We go there every time we are in Florida and the food has always been fantastic.
If you like Italian food I'm sure you will like it there. It is lovely to be able to sit outside and enjoy the lovely lake views.[msncool]

I find the portions of food at Macaroni Grill larger and just as nice as Olive Garden so its hard to choose between them to be honest....love the steak in Carabas mind you[^]

We tried Olive Garden on our last trip and wasn't that impressed. We Would definitely recommend Carrabas.
Check out there website http://www.carrabbas.com/

You can try Carrabba's, very good food indeed.
You could also try Bruno's, a typical Italian place run by Italians. Bruno's in located on the 192 not far from Houlihans just past Formosa Gardens going towards the 27.

Another vote for Macaroni Grill, but have only tried the one at the Loop. Have visited there quite a few times and always enjoyed it.

Macaroni Grill - very good choice of food - large portions, and pretty good quality.
Carrabas - only tried it once, and would never go back, as Mrs Feathers was up all night being rather unwell...[msnsad]
Brunos - not bad - portions not as large as the usual American sized one's, but the food is good. Don't be put off by the location (it's in the same block as the big gift shop with the large killer whale on the front), or the fact that there's nobody else eating in there - it was empty last time we went in...

Love Carrabas and always visit more than once on any trip, we also like Cafe D@Antonio in Celebration.
We will definitely follow Carlas reccommendation For La Forchetta next visit[msntongue]

There is also an Italian at Champions Gate, cannot remember the name and have only eaten there once, but it was very nice and noticed that it was always full when we were over there two weeks ago which I always feel is a good recommendation.
