Don't know what this place Chillis is like, might have to give it a go this week as they are opening one at Champions Gate anyday, it is 3/4 built with a sign saying coming soon, it is just behind the new 7/11 garage.

We have used the one on the 192 and the one on International drive and quite like the place. They have a menu similar but better than TGI selling american style food. The Mash Potato is superb.
Its a bit like everywhere else...but the chicken wing starters are nice...I think they also have good puddings....not sure now because ours had a fire in the winter and was sold on.....
They also have great happy hours.
I hear there is another Chilis planned for just next door to Walmart at Cagans crossing. Apparently they are building one in front of the new Loews store.
Lowes is this for definate ? If so will come in very handy [clap][clap][clap]
Here is the link with the info on.

This is good news:D:D
let us know what it is like?
Where is the new 7/11 CDV?
Next to Walgreen's and opposite the BP gas station on Champions Gate Blvd Liz
The new 7/11 is opposite the original garage at Champions Gate and almost next to Walgreens.
I am not Cruella but think she may be busy relaxing by her pool in Windwood Bay!
Sandra
We have tried a Chilis not far from the airport at Sanford a couple of years ago and the food was excellent, not sure if it is still there now but would imagine that they are all pretty much the same.
Karen
Crikey, I didn't even notice them building that when we were there in Feb!
Just proves how much notice I take[msnoo]
It will be great to be able to just pop down the road to Chilis[msnsmile2]
we were over in Feb too and I think the land was clear and they were starting to build but I don't think they had started, they move quickly don't they? Is there more development planned do you know?
Karen, yes there is a realtors going up...boo hiss! and the parcel of land in between that and where Chillis is is also clear so shall keep an eye out for what coming there.
Good to see more retail outlets and restaurants nearby. We are on the CR54 so Champions Gate & Cagan's crossing are both handy. We tried the drive -thru Taco Bell/ Long John's at Cagan's crossing that's O.K for a quick snack & the 'Creperie' at Champions Gate is very good.

All this development going up quick in Championsgate tut!!!
I am buying a property on Masters Boulevard next to Bella Trae and believe me that is ANYTHING but quick. 2 years on and nothing has started......absolutley nothing!!!:(
Well tried the Chillis on the 192 to see what we had to look forward to and well having discovered the happy hour and yummy cocktails, I need to figure a quick way home on foot from CG:D
They have probably just taken your money Bish to sit on it.
Once completed however, you should be able to command high prices!
There was a rumour a while ago that there would be a road connecting Windwood Bay to Championsgate which I am sure you could stagger home through CDV ;)

YEAH!
Thanks Brian, that has just made my night:D
i'm thinking of using here for a takeaway when we arrive at Christmas, I know forward planning just a tad[msnembarrased], are their takeaways good?
does anyone have a link to their website?
Karen, here is their web site: www.chilis.com
We went there last night and although it was ok, we thought it had gone down in quality since our last visit in August.
Being a key holiday weekend I guess it will struggle a bit. We stuck our heads in on Sunday but it was too long a wait.
It is such a shame that Chilli's cannot maintain the same standards every day as we can see from conflicting opinions.

Even if they did, I suspect that there would still be conflicting opinions as different people have different expectations.
Fianna
I think you are right there Dianna (Fianna??):) We have only had the Champions Gate experience, and it was perfect, would make me think to choose other Chillis restaurants, and hope it was of the same standard!!:)
Just been to Chilis at ChampionsGate and the service was terrible. We waited 25 minutes to order, after we had asked twice if someone would be taking the order.
Waited another 10 minutes then for our drinks. One drink arrived and we then waited a further 5 minutes before the remaining drinks arrived. Again we had to ask what had happened to the rest of the drinks order.
Still no food after being at our table for 45 minutes and then when the starters weren't finished they rushed us with the main courses.
All in all not impressed. The food was OK, but the service definitley was not.
Linda
Did you complain Linda?
We ate there last November, first and last time, thought the service and the food was awful and yes we did complain, the manager was very apologetic and refunded our main course which was the ribs.
Would not go again, pity as it is so convenient.
Val
Yes we did complain and the duty manager came across to us with a feeble excuse of we had arrived at a change over of staff shifts and our food would be on our table soon and he would make sure it was hot!!!
The way he said it sounded as though food was usually warm at best. We made a decision not to return even though it is really convenient for us as well. Shame.
Linda
It is a pity when something is handy but service lacking. We have not had any problems with bad service and ony left on New Years Eve as it was too long a wait so early in the evening. Will be paying another visit next month no doubt but if I find the service lacking I will be teling them loudy of course;)
Guys why not follow your complaint up in a letter see what transpires?
We ate there twice on our recent visit and thought it was fine, except the wait for the table - this seems more to do with what they feel they can handle than what tables are available! Otherwise food was fine and service was acceptable (good by UK standards!). So we will be re-visiting.
I would agree with CDV to write as if upper management don't know that there is an issue then they can't deal with the problem.
