Looking forward to seeing everyone in slimming club part 2 [msnwink] [msnwink]
Well it's nice to be here on the new slimming club, My name is Paul, I don't really need to be here as I'm 6'2", bronzed, with broad shoulders, well defined pecs and a trim, 30" waist.
Sorry Paul - we know you too well [msnwink] [msnwink]
Oh Paul you are a one[msnwink]
Following on from the old thread welcome back Trev[clap][clap][clap]
[msnsad]
Rumbled...
Does anyone find Celebrity fit club inspiring or just plain depressing?
havent been watching it macka but if any clips i have seen in the past are anything to go by then i think its got bad kama, so to speak. that bbc1 prog on a morning seems better. tape it or sky plus it and watch it on an evening when thinking of dipping into the biscuit tin.
i did the school run last week then nipped straight to the gym and watched a few whilst running. lots of good tips on eating and exercise and very encouraging. they all seemed to do well without surgery!! real people, much better than watching a mixed bag of lazy celebrities [sporty][msnsmile2]
thanks julie
Whats the prog call Trev??
Do I get a prize for the last posting on the old thread [msnwink] [msnwink]
(Well it is the last post at time of typing 13.26pm on the 8th [msnwink] [msnwink])
We will get Liesa to post you a big cake (well a picture of one anyway)!!![clap][clap][clap]
Better make it a salad Julie [msnwink]

..I didn't realise it was a CELEBRITY fit club....only knew a couple of faces!!! I don't think inspiring comes to mind!![msneek]
Welcome back Trev.
Just had my tuna salad for lunch....no afters, saving them for later.
Depressing [msnsad]
ive been having a muller rice pot for sweat treat? got given a free one before the great north run 2 years ago worked like a dream(didnt help my running tho:D)
not sure j i will find out, its where they do a fit test and the computer tells them their age - they always get a shock!!
tuna salad has made me hungry now ...........sharon[msncry]
Trev - just in case you didn't see my message on the original thread - welcome back.
[grouphug] to you and your family
Well I'm really fed up, lost 0, yes nothing today. Scales were showing that I had lost all week and today nothing[msncry].
Feel like eating something yummy to cheer myself up but have just come home from work and we have nothing nice, had to make do with a banana. Everyone is doing so well, apart from me.
Welcome back Trev.
Sally you did not put anything on so well done you[clap][clap]Don't get down, if the scales have shown a lost all week I bet you will have lost a few pounds by next week[msnwink]
Sally - you have done so well up to now, so don't be too down about it.
At least you didn't put on [grouphug]
Thanks Julie and Julie, I know your right, but I am so disheartend, being very careful what I eat all week with no result. Last week I was moaning that I had only lost a 1lb, I would be grateful today if it was only 1lb. Looking back on my diary this time last year I was losing 2-3lb a week then which gave me an incentive. I think I will have to look closely at what I am eating and see if I can change anything.
Hi Everyone
a nice new place for us to inspire each other with our dieting successes and to support each other through those dark tempting days that we all seem to have now and then[clap] thanks Julie x
i have been out with the m.i.l and am just getting my lunch now!!! it will be out of the oven at 2.45 so i am trying to keep myself busy until it's ready cos i am very hungry[msneek]
i am going "green" today
i've had usual brekkie of toast and ginger jam
it's stuffed peppers with chilli beans and rice for lunch
and i'm gonna have my personal favourite "green" tea of chips, beans, quorn sausages and a fried egg[msntongue]
then i will probably need a hoist to get me off the sofa[msnembarrased]
i have watched the celeb fit club but without much enthusiasm, i much prefer the biggest loser on living which is on tonight and repeated on sunday night
i think it would be a good idea if we all post our reasons for wanting to lose weight so we can look back at them later when we need some extra motivation
so here goes here's mine
i want to lose weight to be a better role model for my children, to have the confidence to take part in ordinary everyday activities that i shy away from because of my extra weight,
to be able to buy clothes that i chose because they look good and not because they fit.
To teach my children good eating habits and for us as a family to have a healthier more active lifestyle
i want my husband to feel proud of me when we go out together, so that i dont have to think that people are looking at us and thinking - is that the wife!!!
Mizzy
Sally - the nearer your target you get the slower it will come off - sadly.
Well that's what I have found anyway, I have had many weigh ins where I've stayed the same or worse still - put on :(
But we're getting there slowly but surely [msnsmile]
Mizzy - I could go for that tea - sounds good [msntongue]
Your reasons for wanting to lose weight are good ones, with that as your motivation I just know you'll succeed :)
My reasons aren't quite so apparent - I don't have a lot to lose - I just weigh more than ever before (middle aged spread I think it's called [msnwink])
I need to lose another 4 or 5 lbs to be where I want to be and for my clothes to fit me again.
And of course to look good by the pool if I'm lucky enough to get a hol this year [msnwink]
I want to lose weight because I'm vain. I'm probably in the middle of a midlife crisis.
I don't want to have to go out and spend hundreds of pounds on new clothes as I've got a wardrobe full of nice clothes that I could get back into if I tried harder.
I'm not a "big" guy, I only need to lose a stone, maybe 20 pounds but it's all on my belly and looks ridiculous. (You can't look nice in a suit with a big belly either.)
i stayed the same!! which came as a bit of a surprise to me as all i keep doing is eating chocolate!! but then having said that i havent been eating much of anything else!! to much on my mind
;)
nice new place to post on!! my reasons for slimming is..............i'm sick of being fat!!! i'm so sick of my joints hurting, maybe they wont hurt as much if i was lighter? who knows? but it cant hurt to lose weight for the rest of my health, such as hig blood pressure!!
lets do it girls!!![clap][clap][clap][clap]
Staying the same is good Liesa - just think if you hadn't eaten that chocolate [msnwink] [msnwink]
Hope your day went ok :)
Never mind Liesa[grouphug]no chocs next week eh!!!!
Food diary so far.....
Porridge with skimmed and a banana
Skinny latte
Chicken wrap with salad
skinny latte
Cous Cous mixed with chicken, toms, beans (Yummy I have to say)
Later got fresh strawberries and a natural yogurt Oh and had lots of water[clap][clap][clap]
I also bought a mountain bike today...........
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...2_DSCF0026.jpg
So I have another form of exercise, it was second hand from a friend but she has only been on it once!!
My reasons for healthy eating are much like Mizzys...........
1. Health and to live a longer and better life!
2. To be the size I used to be - I remember how good it felt!
3. Bit rude but to feel more s**y [msnembarrased] Extra pounds are not good in the bedroom[msnwink]Although no compliants so far LOL!!!
4. To wear fashionable clothes and look stunning and look younger than my years[msneek][msnwink]
Sally and Liesa....[grouphug][grouphug]
My reasons for slimming are
Healthy lifestyle to live longer
Back to what I was when I was 18 ( I wish)
To feel sexy
To fit in my wedding dress[msneek][msneek][msnwink]
Ok day today. Porridge for brekkie, salad for lunch. Pork stir fry for tea with brown rice and more salad. Snacks of Muller rice(light) and more apples(I'll look like one soon) and a couple of nectarines.
Motivation for losing weight....Well, if you look at my user name, this sort of gives the game away. If I bother to do something, I never go for second best.
Well, I could say my first motivation is for longevity(!) and health reasons-and this is obviously very important. Also important, is to give the message to my children that healthy eating/healthy weight etc is the way to go.
If I'm really, really honest though, I have to admit that I like to look good[msneek] and be able to wear any clothes I choose. I put weight on in the blink of an eye, so if I put on a few pounds(say over Christmas!)I do my best to lose it quickly, before it becomes a real problem. I find the support on this forum really helpful.
Well the kiddies are in their beds and i finally have a little me time, however i have been up since 4.20am so it wont be long before i hit the sack either
a girl needs her beauty sleep and i've got dark circles that would frighten the postman[msnwink]
i have just had supper (cereal bar and some plums) and i am not at all hungry
so another[angel]ic day for me
Julie reason no 3 , me too, but husband does like the bigger b**t, i never had any, well hardly any when we first met and he says he will be sad to see them go[msneek]
Sally you will get there in the end, sometimes the scenic route takes longer but it is usually a more enjoyable journey, you have done fantastic to get this far only a few more miles and i know you'll make it
[angel]Mizzy[angel]

This was Eve's birthday cake, only just managed to upload the photo. Must admit although my modelling is ok I need to improve my writing quite a bit. In case you can't tell the little white squiggels are meant to be waves[msnembarrased]
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...22948_cake.jpg
Here is one I did for my friends daughter
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums..._snowwhite.jpg
And my friends little boy had this one.
http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...21531_cake.jpg
What fab cakes Paula, aren't you clever. My masterpiece was a my little pony castle - made the turrets out of upside down cones covered in icing! Then the ungrateful little beggars hit the teens and just wanted giant birthday cookie cakes from a shop! Still cake is banned in our house - still got the pannetonne from Christmas looking for a good home! Shame I can't say the same for the hot + buns.
Food diary for the day: not hungry for breakfast so just had a banana (smacked wrists, must eat more), lunch was salad with broad beans & peas (leftovers), toms & cuc with chicken, muller yog - new one of banana & custart, snack at tea time was celery sticks with soupcon of dolcelatte (and then I succumbed, ate the last unfrozen hot + bun!) & baby toms, supper was tomato pasta and large salad, all swished down with tons of water or tea (herbal or black lady grey with slice of lemon).
OMG![msnoo][:I] what a [:o)]am I. Just had heart failure, looked up the syns online for a bun, from 14˝ - 6˝ syns. Luckily mine is the 6˝ syns, but that doesn't include the butter of course.
Well the rest are staying in the freezer and the family can take one out at a time and defrost it when they want one!
why did I want to lose weight? Well I have had a weight problem since I have had the children. I got down to a small 14 between the 2 gals, and then put it all back on and some. About 2 years ago it crept on again when I had to have an operation on my shoulder and it cut my mobility somewhat. We had a hectic period at work, very long hours, 5 days a week, grabbing food on the hoof all the time = weight piling on. Started going to Slimming World and lost 10˝lbs. Then diagnosed with breast cancer - on the side I had my op earlier that year. Now I am trying to lose weight because I am due to have a reconstruction - when I have lost enough weight. Another stone to go and then I will be at what I glibly told the plastic surgeon I could lose in 6 months - I wish!
Now I want to lose weight to prove to myself I can do it, I want to be able to walk into any shop and buy clothes, instead of hunting round for 18/20s. I also want to look good for the time I have left.
Things I wish I had learnt when I was young:
Size 12 is not fat
34B was not humungous, even if your mother and sister only have pimples
Not to wear lose clothes when I was a 14/16 - as the pictures I have of when my girls were young I look bigger than I do now!
Those cakes are amazing Caitlin, and very yummy looking!
Like the new thread....although the rate its growing already we might need a separate forum! [msntongue] We could have a recipe thread too! [msnsmile2]
Now my reasons for wanting to lose weight. I want to feel fitter and healthier and be in size 14 clothes and not 16. I like clothes, dressing nicely, and when I can't wear something nice, I feel depressed and my spirits plummet. I don't want my daughter to catch me 'dieting' (as teenage girls are in that 'danger zone', she has a lovely figure, but they all have self doubts at that age) which is why I like the SW plan, as its not counting calories and making lists, its just changing eating habits. So I am doing it for ME. Nobody else. I want to lose 10lbs for me, I'm NOT trying to be a stick figure, I like my curves, just not rolls. [msntongue]
edit: Message to self: I want to lose it by July for the Irish Ball!
OMG I have overslept!!! I am normally up at 5.30 to get on my treadmill[msnscared]

Wasn't hungry at all this morning so I,ve just had a banana! My eldest son is home today with a tummy bug!...school rang up yesterday to say that he was white as a sheet and felt unwell. By the time I got to school to pick him up, he's thrown up all over the school reception area!![msnscared]...think I'm feeling abit off myself today[sick]
Hope everyone else has a good day.
5.30am, OMG Julie, I don't see that time of day unless we are off to Florida! It's bad enough at 6.45 thanks. You can tell the owls from the larks can't you:)
Have a great hols Janny, just be careful with all those tapas, all dripping in olive oil etc.
Hope you've got your nursing overalls on then Sharon, nothing worse than when they are that ill.
