Halloween
Just got back from Orlando and the amount of halloween stuff was unbelievable.
Bought back 2 suitcases of stuff.
Also, some of the xmas stuff was out and they have got huge inflatable snow storms with scenes in and they actually snow!
Unfortunately they would not be any good in our climate outside as they would steam up.
Went into Kmart and found an even bigger snowstorm about 8 foot wide

Did you manage to get to Universals haloween fright night[msneek]
Is real good from what I remember
-
We had a fantastic time at Universals Fright Night. Real scary people and great shows. Would definately say to people going at this time of the year to check it out.
Hannah.

My husband wouldnt let me bring back one of the 8ft snowstorms from Walmart, talk about bah humbug!!!!!
-
My husband would have done but he had a job getting all the skeletons in the suitcase plus tombstones and spiders etc.
We had to leave the cauldron behind.
I was hoping we wouldnt have our suitcases opened when they went through xray.
Bet they laughed.
Would have been funnier if they had checked the hand luggage as it was full of black cats and bats![msntongue]

Imagine that a tombstone in the garden....kids would not come anywhere near your house.[msneek]

Halloween is great in the US and they really go to town with decorations and stuff. Kaye and me love it and we have started to go a bit over the top at home now we have got Millie which doesn't go down well with some of the Yoghurt Knitters in the Neighnourhood!
Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas is like one big delecration in the US as it continues all the way through with just the decorations changin accordingly, SUPERB!!!
-
Hopefully this year we sill start it off in the UK!
We have bought strobe lighting and will be using a fog machine.
Will probably get the nickname the munsters or adams family but we dont care.
Last year we had 25 groups of children knock the door and they were not the annoying teenagers they were about aged 4 to 12 and they had all dressed up and so had some of the mums and dads.
It was really lovely to see so this year as we have so many goodies from USA we are going to make a real effort and my husband is going to build a crypt so that the kids can get their sweets out of a coffin.
YES WE ARE TOTALLY BONKERS.MAD MAD MAD

We brought back a 3ft Pumpkin, 4ft Munster and a 4ft Black cat, all airblown.
These will go nice with our fog machine, strobe light, black light and Spiders web from last year.
It makes all the difference when the children come a knocking!
Why not bring a bit of the USA home?

As a giftwear trader can I just tell you that all the Halloween stuff is now available in England so you will not need to bring it back and also great stuff in England for Christmas and the electrical stuff will be compatible
Everything is made in the far east these days so is offered worldwide.I must confess that I have not seen those giant snow falls at any trade shows, but you never know, someone could have imported them

Please do not tell Mrs. Macka this.
She is a right sucker for twinkly christmas stuff. We could all do our houses up for Christmas this year, post a piccy of it and get someone to judge the best dressed house.[xmas2]

What a great idea Macka I am so up for this one. It might be better to repost this under a different heading Christmas Competition or something as its such a good idea and lost here! Off to start planning!! Teresa
