In Florida there is the Apple Store at Millenia Mall, in the UK try www.apple.com/uk/store[msnwink]
I don't think that website will be much help!
I've edited the link so it now works.

Thanks John![msnwink]
At the Apple Store at MaM my son saved about a fiver over UK prices on a pair of headphones, and you know what you're getting from an official retailer.
You may be able to find cheaper prices by hunting through the electronic and camera outlets on I-Drive and the 192 near Kissimee Old Town, but is it worth the hassle? If you buy from an Apple store, you know you can take them to a UK Apple store if you have any problems after you return home.

Yep if your in Orlando go to the Mall at Millenia, Juc 78 I4. We were there Satuday before we few back to the UK. They have an Apple Shop everything you need for Ipods.

Good advice!!![msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
Give this site a try too
www.ebuyer.com
84 matches found for iPod
I'd also try the virgin Megastore at Downtown Disney....
Usually have all the latest gadgets for things there!!
:D
OK enlighten me[msnsad]
Apart from headphones what constitutes "ipod gear". My son recently bought an ipod from New York and as I am always on the lookout for ideas for Christmas presents perhaps I could buy him something from the apple shop on one of my forthcoming trips. Any suggestions gratefully received)[msnsmile]
PS He is 24!!

I would go for the Apple store.
In the US IPOD gear is the same price wherever you look. They have the best selection of stuff.

Thanks Julie, I have some ideas now. The "strap thingy" very tecnical term you understand[msnwink] would be great and the waterproof box looks useful. I have 2 trips to Florida before Christmas so we will have to see what Santa can manage!
They sell alot of i-pod accessories in several shops in the Florida Mall too.[msnsmile2]
In 18 days time our 12 yr old becomes 13, and we keep mentioning an I-pod to her, but she fears it may be "out" shortly after she has it[msneek] Any expects know the inside track? If it is worth it too, we could then wait and get it for her in Orlando in October he we go!

Carol - no chance of it being 'out' any time soon, Yes they are well worth it, go for the 20gb not the mini, and Yes get it in the Apple store at Millenia Mall[msnwink]
As I've posted elsewhere I bought my Dad an I Pod shuffle and it is really nifty. Not the best value for money compared to a 20GB but still 18 hours of music in a product the size of a pack of chewing gum.
Even though my 20gb is small the shuffle is really easy to carry around.

Can anyone advise me please, I know nothing about this sort of thing. Would I be able to download radio programmes via the PC into my IPOD, or does it have to be music only???
Does ayone know of a good website that would explain how an IPOD works, what it can do etc??
thanks
Linda
You can indeed - it's called Podcasting and more and more radio programs are being made available in this way, including quite a few from big hitters like the BBC, ABC etc etc.
I listen to Podcasts all the time on my iPod (usually more techie ones) and really enjoy it.

Thanks for quick reply. I've had a look at the various Ipods but am confused by the variety and price difference. What sort of capacity do they have for podcasts i.e. how many 1 hour podcasts could I download to a 512 mb or 1 gb?
I want to do this so i can cach up with BBC radio progs whilst jetting to Florida, so if the IPod will only hold 1 hours worth then i won't bother.
Thanks again for your help.
Linda

I would go for the biggest ipod you can afford the 20gb or the 60gb as there are better value for money. I have the 20gb which I got from the Apple Store at the Millenia Mall last August and its fab![msnwink]
They iPod hold way, way more than 1 hour of data - to give you an idea, a 1 hour file is perhaps 30Mb of data - a 20Gb iPod could hold something like 1500 hours of data. Even a 1Gb iPod Shuffle could hold well over 300 hours of data.

I see a new iTunes phone is coming out next week. It combines the iPod with mobile technology provided by Motorola. Could be a winner.
