I have just read on another forum that a 4 year old boy died on Monday on the Mission Space ride in Epcot. The details are sketchy apart from he was from Pennsylvania on holiday.
I'm praying for him and his family.

That is such sad and tragic news - it really makes you appreciate things a little more.
Our thoughts are with his family.
Here is the local news report :-

how very sad, our hearts and thoughts are with them at this very sad time
What a dreadful thing to happen.
My thoughts are certainly with the family at this devastating time.
OMG this is terrible, so very sad, how will they ever get over it[msncry]
very sad, have not seen anything on the news.
very sad news
It is so sad to hear of a tradgey at such a happy place.
Our thoughts are with the young boys family and friends.
The Grove Family.
That is so sad, cant even imagine how the family must feel.
What devastating news. Our prayers are with the family, can't imagine what they must be going through.
We pray for this family at this terrible time for them.
Words cannot describe my thougts for this poor family at this time. A few days before Christmas my nephew's son died, just as suddenly and unexpected, aged nearly 3 and was buried on his birthday. It just doesn't seem right for someone to die so young.
Its very sad . It appears that no trauma was detected and that it was an underlying condition that was undetected. The poor boy did meet the height criteria of 44" albeit he was only 4.Having been on this ride myself i question someone so young could handle it as i didnt feel particularly comfortable. Its a real shame.:(
This is an apsolute tragedy for this family, my heart and thoughts go out too them all. I do feel the same as Bazamoor as to wether a 4year old could handle this ride. I myself didn't cope very well and found myself holding my breath.
Just such a sad thing to happen too such a young child.
There has been a lot in the papers about that ride.....people in their 50s having to go to hospital......lets make rides in Disney for the family......if you want a thrill ride go to a coaster park......
How incredibly sad :(
That is so sad. We did this ride a few weeks ago. I questioned about Adam going on at 6. This an appalling tradegy. My heart goes out to the family.:(
Our thoughts and prays are with the family and anyone else who has lost a loved one recently.
John & Kim
What a shocking and terrible tragedy my thoughts go to the family of the little boy, you can`t imagine how anyone could get over such a thing.
This just made me heartsick when I read it. I have a picture in my head (that I can't shake!) of that poor mother carrying that lifeless child off the ride!
So sad, very sad.
just seen his photo on the orlando news channel, dear little mite!
whats the link to see the poor wee mite.....me and fiona feel for this family as our boys are at that age the now
they did say that he may have an illness that will show up when they do tests that prove that the ride was nothing to do with any of it.We enjoyed that ride but if you look at all the rides you should read the rules its all very clear which disney do a fantastic job to let you know
We had a Fastpass to ride at 4.35pm and were told the ride was closed due to technical difficulties. Found out the real reason the day after. It is incredibly sad, poor little chap. My sons are only a few years older. No parent should have to go through that.
