Thanks Chris. We might go on the 9th this year as we do the Disney Cruise on the 10th[8D]. At least that way the kids might adapt to the time difference a bit quicker;)
Thanks Chris, we'll make sure we go again this year, we really enjoyed it the last 2 years [msnsmile2]
We had a great time there last year and will be thinking about going again this year so thanks for the dates.
Thanks for the dates Chris - this will be our first visit at Christmas and everyone is looking forward to this. We will more than likely go for one of the mid week nights.
Does anyone know how soon I need to buy these tickets? - do they sell out ?
Michelle
Most nights do sell out in advance, so buy them now..

The later nights sell out first usually so book those as soon as possible if that is when you want to go;)
Thanks everyone - I will phone in the next few days and get them ordered
Michelle
Does any one have the phone number or can we purchase from the ticket sales on OV ??
Hi Genie
You can only buy these tickets direct from Disney. I don't have a phone number but you can easily buy them from the Disney website.
What is the website address?
Lynne
Can anyone tell me even when its sold out how "busy" is it.
andrew
It was pretty busy when we went but we managed to easily get onto a few rides like Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean after only about a five minute wait so it wasn't absolutely heaving. The hot chocolate is pretty decent too... [msnwink]
What do the evenings involve - we arrive on the 17th and are doing Discovery Cove on the 20th, so only really have the 18th to go - is it a very late night[?]

They usually have two parades, one early and one later at about 9.30 pm ish, fireworks, some of the rides are open, free family photographs, free hot chocolate (with marshmallows) and cookies (as many times as you like!), seasonal stories at the castle and a good time! :)

Now that would be a minor Christmas miracle with my Mum[chatter]

Hi Lynne
The website is www.disney.com. Then click on Disney Destinations and choose Walt Disney World. Then on the right hand side of the screen is 'Get a Quote', highlight tickets and click on Go (leave Country of Residence as USA). Then click on special event tickets, scroll down and you will find Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets. (hope all that makes sense and if anyone knows a quicker/better way please tell me). I think that there is a limit of 10,000 people allowed in for the party, so you can usually get round the rides without waiting too long, I think the longest we waited a few years ago was 10 minutes. The parades are spectacular, much longer than the usual parade and there is plenty of room for everyone to watch without pushing and shoving. From memory it starts at 7pm and finishes at midnight so it's a fun packed 5 hours.
As hubby is NOT working on Christmas day this year (first time in about 9 years!!!)I am hoping to convince him that we should go to Florida!![msnwink]Thanks for the dates, I will mention those to him, wish me luck :)
Thanks for the website, just booked our tickets for the 20th
Lynne
Hi Lynne
that's the same day as us. We'll see you there.
I look forward to it
Lynne
I spoke to Disney on Sunday and asked if there was any discount for Annual Pass holders and on a few days there is.
We are looking at the 13th Dec and the discount is available on that night:D:D:D
I will have to ask then, hopefully it will be on the 18th as well[msnwink]
Can you tell me what the discount is?

Hi Ruth
The discount they quoted me for annual passholders on 13 December was if the tickets were pre-ordered the
Adults instead of $38.95 would be $32.95
Child instead of $29.95 would be $25.95 ( as normal tax needs to be added onto all of these prices)
when we go there will be 6 Adults and 1 child so that will save us $40[msnsmile2]
Have also booked our tickets for the 20th. We went a few years ago and thought it was so much fun, I thought the park was quite empty and we barely had any wait for the rides!
Best part though - splash mountain in the dark followed by snow on Main street
[msnsmile2][clap][clap][clap][clap]
We have booked our tickets for the 15th, hopefully see some of you there [msnwink]
I booked yesterday for the 20 December so there is still some availability left.
Do you receive an e-ticket for this event?
I tried to get onto the site last night but had problems
Just booked this for the 15th:D:D:D
Finally ordered my tickets for 20th December, paid $10 for delivery to the UK
This year will be the first time we have visited Disney at Christmas
We are really looking forward to it.
What is the temperature as we are not sure what to wear
We have booked for the 8th, (it is our third time), we are taking our children and 6 relatives all 1st time Disney visitors.Should prove to be very exciting[msnsmile][msnsmile]

As the sun has gone down it is a little chilly, suggest long tousers and a fleece. If you are only going in the evening this is no problem as you can arrive wearing the stuff. Remember the hot chocolate is free so if you do get cold you can warm up with this. Last year you could get in before 7pm. think we got to the car park around 5:30, then by the time we got over to MK they were letting you in. You get givena wrist band to prove you should be there.
Just trying to work out if we should get tickets for this. Is it any different to how the park is normally during December ie do they have snow falling every day in main street during the month of december or is that something they keep for the MVMCP. We'll have the 14 day ticket anyway and wondered what your opinions were about this event?

You need a special ticket for MVMCP (see earlier post on this thread) but we thought it was a good value evening and had a great time.
Thanks Blott, I'll check the dates out. Sounds like it's similar to the Halloween Event, we went to that last year and really enjoyed it. But last year that was our only visit to MK, as we did Universal , Seaworld Wet n Wild etc. Anyway always an excuse for DH got buy chocolate chip cookies from the Bakery on main street!
Help - Can't find the special events bit on the website and if I go into tickets it just brings up mutli day park tickets and nothing for any special events. Does anyone have any ideas?
