Whats a Winn Dixie customer reward card Olive? How did you get it?
Like the idea of a reward for shopping!!! [msnwink]Wonder if Walmart do them!!

Dawn
A Winn-Dixie reward card works in the same way as a Tesco/Sainsbury etc card here. They are loyalty cards and you get points each time you buy. The points eventually convert to savings either with money off or in vouchers. I am not aware if Walmart do it as well.

dont think walmart do!! but if anyone knows different give details please[msnwink]

Where we are on the Gulf the Winn Dixie card actually gives you cheaper prices as you shop on a large number of items eg $1-75 normally or $1-50 with the card. Having said that we still find Publix better value even with the card.

Dawn, Last year our villa owner left us a Winn Dixie card in the villa for our use when we were in Florida. As there were five of us we found we made considerable savings with it. This year I attempted to apply for one in January but never heard from them , then just ten days ago I applied again in my husbands name and lo and behold it arrived this morning. just log on to www.winndixie.com and fill up the form , its dead easy. I wish Publix had one but cant seem to find it.We tried WalMart but they dont have a loyalty card scheme either.

We have a Winn Dixie card that enables us to get certain items at a cheaper rate. We applied for this at the customer service desk in the store and got it straight away.
-
We didn't even need to apply! They just gave us one at the tills when we were there a couple of years ago. We leave one of them in the information book for our guests. As you don't have to save points it means you get the discounted prices straight away. They sometimes do some great deals for using them as well.
Pam.

I assume you have to have a US address for this card?
Maybe I`ll be able to pick one up in Aug
-
Hi Kissyme,
We used our Irish address and it arrived (after the second attempt!) - Someone earlier said you could pick one up in the stores when you get there [msnsmile]. The correct website is www.winndixie.com
-

I don't believe they work like Tesco/Sainsbury etc, in that you don't get points or vouchers - at least not on the one I have used for a couple of years.
They do in-store specials, for which you must have a card.
-
We have a Winn Dixie card, a Publix card, an Albertsons card, a CVS Pharmacy card. They all give a smalll discount.
As far as I remember you just need a phone number to sign up.

Unfortunately, this is something a few grocery stores do here in the U.S. They want to know things about you and when you check out with your card, they can analzye the information.....You get sale prices, but only if you use the card. Now, if you shop at Publix, you get the sale prices WITHOUT a card. I feel the grocery stores don't need to know my address, my income, and what I buy every week. Why do they care? I never shop at a store that requires they have info on me before I get sales prices! Just my opinion :)

I always give my online answerphone number...which I nolonger use....I don't give out my phone number to get anything......because within a few weeks you're getting a ton of calls a day from the whole world and his mother.......
