If its anything like our Sky+ system it will record the programme before it - we find it very unreliable[msncry], but Sky have told us they have some software issues and the problems should be resolved soon[msnsmile2]
We have had ours for 3 years almost and love it!! Very occasinally it will miss the end of a programme by a couple of mins ( annoying when it's a cliff hanger I know) but that is usually down to the programmes timing. I love the series link feature which means I never miss an episode of my favourite programme even when they change the day and time. I would never go back to VCR!:D<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Rich-n-Ang

Liz,
Totally agree when it works its brilliant, we had ours installed just before Christmas and we know 3 other people that had it around the same time and we are all having the same faults, I think they must have had a dodgy batch of receivers but I've lost count of the times I've rang Sky and they won't admit it, they just say they are aware of some problems and it will be sorted out with a software update at some time in the future.
Rich
We too have Sky+ and would not be without. We very rarely have a problem and would recommend to all. (No I don't work for Sky)!
The boys and me will be watching. They love the Hoiday Programme. I am going to Sky+ for Pete who will be at work that evening. We love our Sky+. Finally after one year all our problems have been sorted. So far we have had 2 Set top boxes, new dish, new cabeling and three handsets and a discount from Sky after i wrote a strongly worded letter.:)
We also reverted to the written word in the end, sent an E-mail of complaint and we were given a discount for 3 months. Point to note there for anyone else having problems - try writing or E-mailing them looks like it gets a better response (although it did take 7 days for them to reply to my e-mail).
Sorry Karen, it wasn't my intention to hijack your thread and turn it in to one about the merits ( or otherwise) of sky+ ;)
I'm sorry too, its easy to forget what a thread starts off as[:I].
Bringing the threads back together then ...
set a reminder on ordinary Sky to watch the holiday programme next Monday as they are visiting Orlando ! it is on about 7:00 or 7:30 I can't remember now !
Hey, no worries. It starts at 7:00pm. I believe it is about a single parent taking her children on holiday.
Think I missed this one.
must try and catch a repeat.
DOM
It's not on till Monday Dom[msnwink]
now on bbc 1 watch it orlando shortly
have just tuned in now ! looks good am excited now. we also have sky+ and i have to say its fab i could neaver work the vcr but this is really easy
For anyone who missed the programme, a mother with three small children visted Orlando and went on the Disney cruise.
Good clips of Animal Kingdom, especially the Lion King show and Arabian Knights.
She summed it up by saying it was all worth it just to see the look on her children's faces.
I'm off to watch the Sky+ whilst eating my tea, thinking of our next visit.:D
My daughter and I watched this episode, well we watch the holiday programme every week. My daughter was really excited to see Mickey Mouseland as she calls it on the tv and told me how much she would love to go to the Animal Kingdom, "Can we go there one day mummy, please?" He he he, I was quite excited to think that we've only got 6 months to go and she doesn't know yet, lol Can't wait to see her face when we tell her that we're going.
