Sainsbury's, TESCO, ASDA etc have 'Speciality Foods' sections with foods from all over the world, including the USA. Worth checking if they have what you want. Since ASDA is now owned by Walmart, it might be a good bet.
You can get Betty crockers and Ghiraldli cookie mixes from Costco, along with Hersey chocolate and Skippy peanut butter, plus lots more.
Try Tesco,
They seem to be expanding more now than ever.
I suppose it will depend on what you are after!!

Have been in the trafford center in manchester today, and in the selfridges food hall they have a selection of US products, very overpriced considering they sell skippy for £2.75(small jar)walk to costco and pay £2.95 for the largest size:)
we live next to Mildenhall and Lakenheath airbases. Luckily we have American friends we have met through the children and school, so get to go shopping on base quite often...they even have a Taco Bell.

That's very interesting cos I did not even know that there was a Taco-Bell in the UK (Something that I have always felt should be corrected). What other shops are there and are they open to the general public or does one have to be accompanied by USAF personnel?
You have to be authorised to shop on the airbases and the general public cannot just walk in(Jon2211 was accompanied by an authorised person, that is generally ok). They have things lke Burger King, Popeyes, Baskin Robins etc. They normally have a very large grocery stores and the products are all the same as back in the US.

Thanks CDV. Is this "authorisation" process long and complicated or is it enough if you are vouched for by Lt.John Doe of the USAF? (Mind you, I haven't met him yet :))
Nostromo there used to be a place selling USA foods in Chippenham. I have not been there for sometime so I am not sure if it is still there. I think it was called 'Taste of America' and was in the Hathaway trading estate at the top (north) end of the High Street.

No Arun, it's nigh on impossible to get in unless you are with someone who is authorised to shop there.
Thanks for the info CDV. And Maureen, thanks to you too for the info on that American shop in Chippenham. I go there quite often since it is only a stone's throw from Calne, where I work. I'll check it out when I am there next.:)
We have an American sweet shop where I get all my favourite treats from especially the famous Jelly Belly gourmet beans. As for American foodstuff we do not seem to have it around our area although Asda may start to import it soon as they are setting out the store just like Walmart are .There in 12 days again so am getting wound down ready to go .[msncool]
I tried to find a number for the shop/store Nostromo but can not find it listed (might have been 'Made in America'). If you follow the A4 bypass round Chippenham, go over river take A420 north, over (or is it under) railway then the B4069 right to Lyneham and I think the Hathaway retail park is on the corner where the old High Street comes up to meet the Lyneham road. We only found it by accident because there is a Home Base or DIY store there.
Let me know if you find it.

they have a Taco Bell on both Lakenheath or Mildenhall. The bases are like a mini America. Lots of the service personnel never leave the bases. Lakenheath even has a Golf course. The have a big fast food plaza on Mildenhall next to the Food store. As CDV said, there is Burger King, Baskin Robins etc etc. they have bowling alleys, cinema, restaurants, bars.
You have to accompanied by someone with an ID card. This does not have to be a US service person and their family. There are loads of civilians, both British and US who work on the bases. Since 9/11 security has become much much tighter, although it still only takes about 10 mins to complete the documentation. They built a really nice visitor complex at Mildenhall that opened in about July 2001. Unfortunately it hasn't been used since 9/11 because it is right by the accomodation area. The entrance is now right at the end of the runway and you have to driver past a couple of Humvee's with heavy MG's on top to get on base.
They also used to hold the largest air display in Europe until 2001. Since then it has been cancelled for various reasons. All the different units set up BBQ's and competed to sell the best. It was certainly an amazing weekend with about 250,000 visitors over the weekend.

Martin, the outlet on that link is selling A&W Root Beer and Mountain Dew, but I don't think IBC Rootbeer is available in the UK, unless in those US Airbase shops.
Not sure if it covers all the products you may need, but try www.expatessentials.co.uk

Jon, your link seems to mainly cover British foods already available here rather than the American ones that the others are after. But I could be missing the right link and so can you tell me if there is anything else apart from where it says "British Foods"?
Prior to posting the link, when I spoke with the site owner he said that they supplied American food and drink as well. I have e-mailed him and asked where you can access the items.
