Just curious as to what type of clothes eveyone wears to travel in. Trying to figure out what is best for the snow at this end and the sun at the other end. I like to dress up when I fly. (Not fancy dress, before the witty comments start coming in)![:X]
Peelable layers that are comfortable and can be rammed into our hand luggage! Oh and comfy shoes. :)

In cold climes, I find the airport building very warm so can strip off there and put them into my hold bag, though got caught in Newcastle last weekend when we had an 8 hour delay and the heating turned off, had to find the bar to get warmed up.[msnwink]
I just wear my jean.......$7 walwart......a t-shirt......$11 dress barn......and a jumper....$7:50 walmart....and $20 shoes from Sears.....well worn in for all that walking I always do......
We have a limo take us to the airport door and pick us up......so I don't take a coat....

i wear an ordinary skirt with an ordinary top and an ordinary jacket (not to thick) with my oldest shoes and my bridget jones knickers and brassiere!!!![msnwink]
and no i dont look like a bag lady[msnwink]
I wear my Brigette Jones Knickers too [msnwink] but I pass on the brassiere [msneek]

The limo is a must have to get you to the airport in the snow......or through the summer traffic....the cars just move out the way .....they think it could be a Kennedy or a Kerry.......LOL!

I always plan on "dressing up" too just in case it increases my chances of an upgraded seat. But then I have second thoughts and go for comfort - usually trousers with a comfy waistband ;) t-shirt and a nice warm cardi or sweatshirt (for the cold at Manchester.) Nice comfy shoes and of course mustn't forget the elegant flight socks [msnembarrased] Does anyone else bother with the flight socks??

Gotta agree with the Bridget Jones knickers, no good wearing a thong all the way to the USA - ouch[:O][msneek]
I always wear comfy tousers, trainers, T-shirt, cardigan or sweatshirt (zipped with hodd for the way back)

I normally wear cropped trousers, smart T-shirt-zip up velvety hoody.
Leather flip-flops. Girls wear velvety leisure suits and a top, thongs etc etc. (We won't go into my underwear), perhaps that needs re-phrasing[:I]
We always have socks for the flight. I Got a lovely pair from Upper Class last time, black with a snakes face and the tongue was the red Virgin logo. We were in P.E. and the stewardess went down and bought the whole pack up. I thought it would have been flashy coming from UC, apparently not.

yes julie i wear flight socks, i wear a longish skirt so it hides them[msnwink]my dear old mum passed away due to DVT so it makes me think about it every time!!!!!
and thanks for reminding me to get them out of the drawer!

The worst thing about them is you have only just got rid of the pattern on your legs from wearing them on the way there when you have to put them on again to come home...

Just wear a pair of Speedos. Then I don't have to pack anything else - I have all my holiday attire and my luggage is empty for bringing back lots of shopping!

I always seem to wear a pair of old green jeans that I bought cheap at Walmart years ago. It has many pockets and convenient to carry bits and pieces on a flight. It also goes with any lightweight shirt. Wharever the weather ouside, I find airport terminals and planes themselves too crowded and stifling and so prefer to keep to lightweight clothes.
I absolutely do comfortable layers! Usually trainers too to go to Florida, as that is what I wear most of the time I am there, saves packing them!! Make them old ones you are ready to get rid of if you plan to replace( good excuse to shop early!!!:D)

T Shirt, cardi and jacket and plain black trousers. Smart but comfy - always Bridget Jones - need comfort for that distance and also take Asprin a couple of days before the flight.

Jogging bottoms, vest top hooded sweatshirt and trainers.
Have a pair of shorts and flip-flops in flight-bag as we are going to land to to the loo brush teeth tie up hair change clothes ready to roll.
I always have clean undies[msnscared] in hand luggage, plus a clean top in case I spill Baileys down myself in the event of turbulance! or me being clumsy,

Like Blott and CarolAnn, I always wear comfy layers. In the past I have been frozen on flights,and also boiled alive, so need to be able to adjust accordingly. I don't dress-up, but always wear make-up, with plenty of moisurizer. Chloe

Have to agree with the mouisturiser I use tons of it but the only makeup I wear long distance is lipgloss as I always rub my eyes and forget about my eye makeup!! Don't own Bridget Jones but always have spares and comfy shoes or socks to put on once I am onboard.
Fleece/Jogging bottoms (£2.99 from Makro in the 2001 Xmas sale!), all the rest from Walmart, big T-Shirt (4XL!), hooded fleece top (comes straight off on plane), soft fluffy white socks (sad!), trainers (also come straight off on plane), so very loose and comfortable really :)
I always try to dress quite smart when I travel, and I tend to get upgraded without asking, especially when I travel on my own, never fails. We have only been upgraded twice with the kids, as I make sure everyone is smartly dressed, which tends to be layered. Therefore when we leave London, you have your jacket on and when we reach our destination, we then peel off the jacket. I tend to wear a halterneck or strapless outfit under the jacket, with my hair swept up. Really for the upgrades.
Comfy, Tracksuit Bottoms, Halter neck top and Tracksuit Top. Nice and comfy and the thong stays on all the time!!!![msntongue]
