Do you remember
When you got ice cold water the moment you sat down in a restaurant?
Or when Denny's put a little timer in front of you and the meal was free if it went off before the food arrived? (They always managed to do it, we never got a free meal).
Or what about when Shamu was 'Baby Shamu', Sea World's new wonder. Or when Universal Studios opened and none of the rides worked, so we got free passes to come again.
Maybe you remember Xanadu! Home of the Future! Or perhaps when South Beach, Miami was falling down and full of old people who ate in Wolfie's Deli (now closed), not the primped bronzed pouters you see there now.
When the Immigration people were really cheerful and friendly, or what about when Key W Kools was a really attractive (blue?) building practically out on its own, with a big penguin inside.
Anybody got any more?

I remember having our hire car upgraded to something very long with fins on the rear!

Petrol for well under $1 a gallon (with almost $2 to £1).
Flights for £39.
I also remember the little timer at Denny's - can anybody remember what times they were set to?
-

I still ask for that pitcher of ice cold water when I sit down. [msnwink]
I used to love the flower stands on Main street on the left hand side where you could sit on that pretty white bench surrounded by beautiful flowers for a Kodak moment.
I used to like Discovery island and River Country.
I love the way everything evolves and changes. It's always an adventure and there are always so many reasons to keep going back.

A run down shack on the 192 not far from the junction with the 535 that was apparently a "cocktail lounge"!! Can't remember it's name - think it was "bamboo" or "bahama" something?? Never plucked up the courage to stop by for a cocktail!
