When I was out in March I found that the atm's in Walmart gave $500 whereas Publix had a limit of $400. Maybe with the rate now you will be able to draw out $600 in one go.

Do you need more than $400 in cash a day when you can use your card for purchases - groceries, meals, petrol etc?

Thank you for your replies. Just got $400 from machine outside Publix and then went to a Bank AMT which would not allow me a withdrawal. Must admit I did not try $200 so it may have allowed me that. Think I will get hubby to send a large amount from our money broker in UK as I can't keep tripping to ATM's every day. Too much sunshine to be doing that[msnwink]

Sandra, did you try the bank directly in front of Publix at Champions Gate?
I am sure "The Wallet" , was getting $600 a day in one go ,when we were over in October, using NW card? I know it was only a set amount per UK day (so to speak!):)

Robert, I think Sandra wants to stock up on $$$$ while she is getting such a great rate with her Nationwide card[msnwink]
You are correct Lynne.[msnwink]
Robert, I definitely would not survive on $400 per day, have extremely expensive tastes[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

Over $2.11 briefly today.
I'm sure it's no coincidence that fares to the US in November & December seem to have rocketed over the last week or so. I'm there over the weekend and the fare's now almost double what I paid a couple of months ago.
£ seems to be on a downward slide lately. Back below $2 today. I don't claim to have any understanding of all this but I do see that you'll get 5% less for your pound than just a few weeks ago.
Historically it's still a good rate though.
Back above $2/£1 this week for the first time this year. Could be looking good for Easter holiday trips coming up.
That it good news, I wonder if I could squeeze in a short break to New York to do some serious shopping. [msnwink]
If your avatar's any guide Barbara, you could do with a break![msnwink][msnwink]
I picked up some dollars from M&S today got 1.94 which I am happy with along with my Nationwide Debit Card that's all I need[msnwink]
Back above $2/£1 today for the first time since my last post in March. No idea where it's going from here!!
Not much higher than this I would say. Possible one last spike before we turn.
If you have any £ and can get 2 for 1 I would cash in and do the transfer.
This is a great rate and I believe we over the next 6 to 9 months will see the exchange rate back be back below 1.9 possible even lower. The weakness of the US$ is coming to an end.
