What's Going on with the Dollar rate???

Not good news http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-23177463 On FairFX, one of the best rates normaly it's down to $1.47

It's fallen back more less continually every day over the past 2 or 3 weeks and has lost around 6 cents over that time. Heaven knows where it's going next.

Wow, I've just noticed it's dropped 2c since just yesterday!

Yet our Economic news is good.....

Down another cent today so below $1.50 which is a major benchmark for a lot of people, me included.

EDIT - Cloing the day at a 3 year low of $1.49.

Is that the Bank Rate or Tourist Rate KG as I have only $146.70 on FairFX and $144.80 at the Post Office ?

It's the bank rate Keith.

Just checked and it was at 1.42 on XEtrade!!

That's as bad as I've seen in a long time. I'm sure there are better deals around but anything over about $1.45 is going to be as good as it gets at the moment.

I checked Mark & Spencer last night and it was $1.47
