MOrning Girls,
First i must say well done to all who have lost weight, weighed myself yesterday and i have lost another 2lbs i am now down to 11st started at 11st 7 lbs so i am quite pleased,i am not following any one kind of diet i just seem to mix and match but so long as its working im ok.
We have had the results of the scan for MIL and it loks as thouggh she has had a few small strokes, but at her age it has done quite a bit of damage ,the doctor has warned us it will be a long road back, that is IF she ever gets back to what she was ,the doctor has more or less said she will need 24hr care,oh well ,looks like here we go again!!.
I am staying focused on loosing weight and getting ready for my holiday.
[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]to everyone not feeling to good and[clap][clap][clap]to all who are really going for it.
catch you all later
Sheena.

Good Morning Everyone
Congratulations to Fiona and Sheena on your weight loss[clap][clap][clap]
Sheena please remember you can dm me for any help with "care issues" regarding your m.i.l[grouphug]
Twiglet, yes you choose either a red or green day, but neither days excludes any food groups, on a red you would eat unlimited meat with a measured amount of carbohydrate and vice versa for a green
you choose the days that you want to do and as long as you stick to the same colour all day your doing it right
syns are there for the extras that we cant live without like chocs and wine to name a few!!!!
did you know that the SW plan "food optomising" books that are given to new members are sometimes available to buy on ebay[msnwink]
i would have a quick look if i were you Twiglet you may be able to get the books you need
Julieanne you can join online and by post and it's not complicated at all,it just takes conventional diets and turns them on their head by saying yes, you really can eat all that and still lose weight, no food at all is forbidden so it takes out the equation of being either on or off a diet and puts you back in control, i do hope you give it a go as you wont regret it
well i'm off to put my face on, i have to enjoy the company of my delightful m.i.l and take her to the town for a few hours, not my idea believe me[msnmad]
have another good one everybody[angel] Mizzy[angel]

Twiglet yes you either choose a green day or a red day, although on either you are allowed protein or carbohydrates, you just have to make sure you weight them out as per the allowance.
You are allowed 10/15 syns a day, they recommend that as we are so bad at correctly estimating you allow for 10 and you might end up with 15! The main thing to do is eat the free foods so you will never be hungry, if you are hungry you are not doing it right!
So sorry to hear the news of your MIL Sheena, it will be a long haul for you, and very sad, let us hope she doesn't know what is going on as that is even worse.[grouphug]

[grouphug] [grouphug] [grouphug] for you Sheena at what must be a difficult time for you.
Thanks all for the tips/advice on SW. The biggest reason for not joining a SW class is time - but also as I don't have much to lose at all I would rather try to do it myself.
I am going to have another week or so of doing my own healthy eating thing and if it doesn't work I will give SW a couple of weeks trial from the info I have.
Food for today:
seriously oaty and smoothie for breakfast
chicken tikka and salad for lunch
chicken stir fry for dinner
fruit & yoghurt for snacks and lots of water

Fiona.....well done..better off than on whatever it is[msnwink]
your dogs sound like they've got lots of character, shame I didn't live closer, I could,ve taken them out for you![msnwink]
Liesa....Good luck, fingers crossed.
Sheena...Well done, another 2lb's off is great. Keeep up the good work. Sorry to hear about your MIL. Went through a similar thing with my dad who'd also have several strokes, so I know what you are going through.
Julie...have you found your album yet??[msnsmile2]
Mizzy...have you found yours as well??[msnwink][msnwink]
Had my weetabix again this morning and lots of water so feeling "full" at the moment.

hi guys may i sneak back in - been off the site altogether for a while now but trying to get back in the swing of things.
i managed to do the new york marathon and left durham at a weight of 13 10 that was soon 14 stone by the time 'my mum' had fed me up in london combined with too many breakfast beers at the airport with the lads [beer][sick][zzz]
what with one thing and another since then i have managed to put on my winter coat and crept up to 15 stone.
have been cutting back for 2 weeks and am 14 10 now so its a start
sheena , much sympathy, i think i can understand your feelings , i sadly lost my mil thru cancer in january.the nursing was a very difficult time for all especially my wife karen, who's also been unwell.
as a result we have decided to say s.o.d. it and booked flights to florida next week that we really cant afford. her dad is being took to spain by her brother and we know that whilst its a trashing holiday, we are guaranteed to enjoy it ,what with the mouse, the whale and the shark! a bit of quality time with the chids!
is everybody watching that bbc morning show changing your age and all that, its ok but more so you should tape it and watch it at night when you feel like reaching for the biscuit tin[msnwink] follow that with you are what you eat and we will do just fine.ttfn:D

Oh Julie thank you so much for the mags, you are such an angel, so kind. I am really geared up to start it on Sunday, which ties in with a weight loss show that's starting every night here from Monday for a few weeks, following the progress of some people losing weight...so that will be motivation! Plus I thought I might get an exercise DVD on the weekend too!
Mizzy & Fiona thanks for the tips on how it works, and how Syns work. I will pop my food diary on here, like you all do, and you can tell me if I am doing things the wrong way.
Congrats Fiona & Sheena for the weight loss, you are inspirational that's for sure!

Oh I meant to add its funny when you all come in and say good morning, and I am yawning ready to go to bed. Night Night, have a lovely day everyone, my Weds is nearly finished!

Just so everyone is aware, we've just taken this topic out of the Active Topics list on the forums as it was getting too long and dominating the list of active topics.
The topic is still very much alive and I would suggest anyone taking part bookmarks the topic so they can go straight to it when they need to and see new postings etc etc.

John would it be easier for you if we start a new thread altogether?
