Back from my few days in Glasgow seeing my Aunt, had a nice time apart from being stuck at Glasgow Airport for 4 hours yesterday[msnmad]
Wasn't very good eating wise while I was away, my Aunt spoiled me.
My birthday today and Peter is doing a nice dinner, all I know that it is Ribeye steak not sure what else we are having.
Haven't had time to catch up with things on here but will try later.

Hi Judy, you'll get lots of support and ideas here [msnsmile]
Well it's a lovely sunny day here in the north east - still a bit breezy though [msnscared]
Food for yesterday
breakfast - seriously oaty
lunch - lightly battered fish shop fish with most of batter taken off, and mushy peas
later in the day lean grilled bacon in malted grain bap
extras - apple, water, handful of brazil nuts and two more halves of beer
Perhaps not the perfect day but fairly good for me for a weekend day [msnwink]
Had weetabix and semi skimmed for breakfast today - but don't know what is for lunch as I'm off to Mum's for that [msntongue]

Right Here goes, I'm taking a big step admitting this not just to you people but also to myself -I reckon I need to lose at least 5 stone and that would take me to what I was when I got married 17 years ago. I would be happy to loose around a stone by Easter ( more if possible). So please can you add me to the list. I am going to start by loosely following the Rosemary Conley GI jeans diet and going to curves 3 time a week if possible and see how things go.
I have started by cutting out rubbish today - ie no sweets, biccies etc and when the pangs hit I have a cup of coffee or glass of water to fill me up. Tomorrow is the real starting day

Judy, i started off with a 5 stone to lose as a target but only admitted it to myself really, it takes a lot of guts to stand up and say i need to lose 5 stones so well done [clap][clap][clap]
i'm now just over 3 stone lighter and yes it's took a good year but it's been more of a lifestyle change this way and i can honestly say that this weight has been lost without cutting out my favourite treats like crisps, chocolate and chinese takeaways, there's even been the odd trips to the chippie, pizza hut and perhaps the scariest of all cadburys world[msnscared][msnwink]
you should try to include all of your favourite foods but in moderation to avoid the diet trap that is deprivation, it's much easier to eat sensibly, make the best choices you can and have the occasional treat, this way it becomes a "for life" thing rather than just another diet
diet for me quite simply is
D dare
I i
E eat
T that
and the answer is YES YES YES[msnsmile2]
i still would like to lose another two stone and i'm not bothered whether it takes another year or even two because i know i'm going to get there
