I agree, we can be constructive without being rude to each other.
(well apart from Mach 2 obviously, I could tell you some stories about Julie allright.[:O][:O])

Paul, I can't believe you would give away my trade secrets[msnwink][msnwink]
I won't if you don't Julie.[msnwink][msnsmile2]
I've got to say I think this topic started great. Now I'm feeling it's getting a little too deep.
To us as villa owners our properties are luxurious, I mean how many of us have pools in our back gardens here? That'sa luxury in itself!
We each have our own choices to make and the customer is the one who decides at the end of the day. If you don't think a villa is particually fantastic you're not going to book it.
From a very personal point of view our I think our villa is fantastic but you may not and if you don't you won't book.

I cant get my head round why you are so uptight about the wording of adverts, most of the villas out there advertise a gamesroom, but each gamesroom will be totally different from another, we all have private pools but some are different than others and offer more in seclusion,we all have a different outlook at the rearof our properties, some are closer to Disney than others, it doesn't matter as we all get our bookings ( usually) based on the photo's and level of professionalism when dealing with our guests, not the wording, albeit it may help to catch the potential renters eye in the begining.
I have four villas, all different than the next, different interiors and slightly different exteriors, it does not set me back by saying luxury, prestigious, and any other positive adjective that comes to mind, nor do I feel guilty about writing these words in my adverts. I have yet to receive negative comments with regard to this.
And by the way, I own a lovely little Corsa and a 330CLK Mercedes Cabriolet and I really dont mind which I drive, and I am a very intelligent person, both get me from A to B.
If you ever purchased a Luxury villa in Florida of your own, I would be interested in how your own advert would sound. :)

I am in the same mind as Karen, why you are so uptight about the wording of the adverts?
Have had a bad experience? or maybe you have rented a home that didn't live up to your expectations.
Maybe this is how you view every advert, regardless of the product
I use all the words mentioned in my adverts. I don't beieve I am misleading any potentials guests.Never had a guest complain just the opposite in fact
Love to know how and why you obviously feel, very strong about your convictions.[msnsmile2][msnsmile2]
Yes can we get back on topic ie slideshows in villa adverts[msnwink]
Julie I think the slide show's are great, virtual tours are even better.
Booking the villas are even better still :D:D
Cheer up everbody, life's too short:D
In the end........if you're unhappy with the villa.....you're not going to use it again......you're not going to tell your friends and family to book it....
I've been in a lot of villa's now............and all have been better than their pictures.........
I just think people expect to much of owners.......for too little money.........
You can tell the people who care about their homes........some lovely top class homes are on this site.....at a fair price.....
you can tell from the pictures if the rooms are filled with hotel grade headboards ...dinning tables......sofas etc......
You can rate the homes yourself by just not booking homes like that........
So anyway, I said to her, I said. yes I love the slideshows, and she said yeah me too, just love 'em, soooo helpful.

Macka your posts always make me smile. Keep up the good work!
I agree the thread has got a little too deep and away from the origianl point.Although lots of valid comment have been made, I am not convinced it is helping anyone now.
Maybe the best thing would be to let the thread end here

Oh I know they are Paul, so helpful and with the virtual tours you can feel the luxury[msnwink] Sorry couldn't help it[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
I agree - I think it's run it's course, got right off topic and then run it's course some more.
I'm locking it now as I can't see the need for the thread to continue.
