Well done to everyone who has lost weight. Haven't you all done well.
Feel really fat today and yet I shouldn't have been very good.
Went to lunch today and had salmon and crab fishcakes with salmon for main meal-ate no bread or potatoes. Later on had a Thorntons cream egg.
Probably because I had to buy a size 16 top instead of the 14 I thought I was in when out shopping. Just re-read that really makes sense. Woman out shopping has to buy bigger top than she thought so eats cream egg[msnsad]
Why oh why do all the pretty bras hardly ever come in my size. There were lots smaller (naturally) and lots bigger-so if my size is popular why don't they make more in that size. So annoying.

well done Carole and Sally on your weight losses[clap][clap][clap]
and Fiona i love your little tweety pie it reminds me of a tee shirt that my friend had that says " Dear Lord if you can't make me thin - then please make my best friend fat"[msneek] trouble is i'm her best friend and she is my diet buddy at the SW class
it's a good job i like her for more than her terrible taste in t'shirts[msnwink]

Well we seem more focused this week don't we?
OB, are you eating enough? Honestly you can eat tons and tons of the "right" foods, and makes you less likely to say s*d it, I am desperate for chocolate / crisps / cakes ... whatever. Says she being very virtuous for her 1st proper day back on the diet for 4 weeks[:I]. I am going to make up some low-fat jelly so I have something sweet to have, plus hit Waitrose again for muller light yogs, sometimes fruit is not enough.
Just about to finish my food chart for the day, that is sobering enough to keep you on the straight and narrow, at least for a few days! I am an [angel] apart from about an inch of Saint Albray cheese, now just got to calculate how many syns that was!
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
I don't exercise at all.
If God had wanted me to touch my toes
He would have put them up higher on my body.
~~~~~
One of life's mysteries is how a two-pound box of candy can make a woman gain five pounds.
~~~~~
I'm in shape. Round is a shape.
Diet Excuses
But the doughnut was calling my name.
But it was my birthday, so I had to eat the whole cake.
I had to get the bitter taste out of my mouth from eating the so-called dish, so I had an ice cream.
If you eat something and no one sees you eat it, it has no calories.
If you drink a diet soda with a candy bar, the calories in the candy bar are canceled out by the diet soda.
If you fatten up everyone else around you, then you look thinner.
Cookie pieces contain no fat -- the process of breaking causes fat leakage.
Things licked off knives and spoons have no calories if you are in the process of preparing something. Examples are peanut butter on a knife making a sandwich and ice cream on a spoon making a sundae.
Only eat things that have been broken into pieces; that way, all the calories fall out.
Chocolate is a vegetable. How, you ask? Chocolate is derived from cacao beans. Bean = vegetable. Sugar is derived from either sugar CANE or sugar BEETS. Both are plants, which places them in the vegetable category. Thus, chocolate is a vegetable.
and this is soooooooo us
T'was the month after Christmas, and all through the house,
nothing would fit me, not even a blouse;
The cookies I'd nibbled, the eggnog I had to taste,
at the holiday parties had gone to my waist;
When I got on the scales there arose such a number!
When I walked to the store (less a walk than a lumber),
I'd remember the marvelous meals I'd prepared,
The gravies and sauces and beef nicely rared;
The wine and the rum balls; the bread and the cheese,
and the way I'd never said, "No thank you, please."
As I dressed myself in my husband's old shirt,
and prepared once again to do battle with dirt,
I said to myself, as only I can,
"You can't spend a winter disguised as a man!"
So, away with the last of the sour cream dip.
Get rid of the fruit cake, every cracker and chip.
Every last bit of food that I like must be banished,
'til all the additional ounces have vanished.
I won't have a cookie--not even a lick.
I'll want only to chew on a long celery stick.
I won't have hot biscuits, or corn bread, or pie,
I'll munch on a carrot and quietly cry.
I'm hungry, I'm lonesome, and life is a bore,
But isn't that what January is for?
Unable to giggle, no longer a riot.
Happy New Year to all and to all a good diet!
