As for exercise for the past 2 years I have been Nordic Walking and really enjoy it when I can make myself go out and do it.
I find that it doesn't hurt my joints at all and uses 40% more calories than ordinary fast walking. I was at the pain clinc
a few months ago and the consultant of course told me that I must lose weight but she suggested Nordic Walking also
it seems more and more GP's etc are recommending this. Look up groups in your areas and give it a try ladies (and gents) it is
very sociable also we have a good old natter as we walk.
Pleased to say I lost 1 lb this week so still in target - actually bang on. Celebrated with a half a slice of chocolate gateau with cream - and I don't even like chocolate gateau!!! Just wanted to use it up after having guests.

You are doing really well Karen. I bet you feel better for losing the weight as well. I know I have more energy......just have to go and get the other half of the chocolate gateaux and cream that I saved for today!!! Mid afternoon snack[msnwink]
