Well Done Julie [clap][clap][clap] you must be so pround and feeling great
also congratulations to Paula on the coffee wars
i only had 6 cups yesterday Paula and to be honest i thought that i would miss it more than i have been[msnsmile2] i'm gonna take a leaf out of Julie's book and try to drink more water but i'm gonna add a splash of low sugar juice for the first few days
Leisa you go girl, your on your way[msnwink]
and finally i've got to add a few bits of info out of the new years addition of slimming world to inspire us all
food rules you can bin and why (just a few of my favourite ones from the article)
1. i must be good at all times
bin it- here's a rule that can come back to bite you in more ways than one.On one level telling yourself you have to be perfect is another way to ensure the disappointment when you think you've let yourself down .But people who appear to be "good all the time" can also be the biggest rebels of all - they just keep the lid on until they explode with resentful rage!.
win it- You can't be good all the time. No one can. In fact ,it's healthy to loosen that corset now again.Go on try it .You might like it -and you'll be more likely to stick to a routine thats fun and FLEXIBLE,so in the long term, you win.
2. I must use willpower
bin it- this sounds obvious to many slimmers: to suceed you need iron willpower and steely determination, right? Wrong! Forcing yourself to do things that you would rather not do is'nt willpower, it's wont power. and sooner or later that inner rebel will break through!
win it- Replace willpower with "choice power": viewing each day, or each meal as a series of choices with consequences, rather than as a battle with yourself over what you "can" and "can't" have, takes the tension out of meal times and puts you back in control.
3. I have lost weight before, so i must do better this time
bin it- this is one rule that desperately needs a reality check! Restarting a slimming campaign is'nt like retaking your driving test: your not out to impress some examiner, so it doesn't matter if you take the long way round, make some of the same errors or even find some brand new ones on this route.
win it- be confident in the knowledge that you have lost weight before, you are well equipped to do this again. But that was then; this is now and your new journey may be different. And as we're talking driving tests which one is more likely to get you through: focusing on the road ahead, or the rear view mirror?
have a good "choice power" day everyone[msnsmile2] Mizzy

Thanks Mizzy - a very sensible approach, let's all try and make the right choices today. And then tommorrow and then the next day, win each day and don't think too far ahead.....
I put a splash of lemon or lime juice in hot or cold water to give it a little bit of zip ;)
-
Thanks everyone and welcome to Janice[clap][clap][clap]
Another tip for water rather than add any artifical juices why not add a big chunk of real Limes, Lemons or Orange[msnwink]
I can drink it on its own but I like it chilled and it has to be bottled, Buxton is my fav, can't stand tap water[msnwink]

Thanks for the link Mizzy will go and have a look .I suppose I am lucky in the respect that I don't like wine or crisps and can go without chocolate but bread and cheese are my weaknesses .I used to hacve a sweet tooth but that seems to be fading so can only surmise that my weight gain is due to the time of my life if you know what I mean .Off to check out SW.
