Morning all. Not a bad couple of days,although Friday is always my treat day so had half a Pizza Express pizza and salad for tea and some ice cream afterwards(not too much!)[msnwink]

i think at your age you should just cut out sweet things and try not to have many junk meals! i know cos my kids did at your age, infact i still have doing it now! no matter how i try she still only eats junk! shes also a little chunky, and i am always trying to watch what she eats, but i also dont want an unhappy child!

I have not been able to eat fruit of or veg since my poorly tummy so have eaten too much of the wrong things[msnscared]
So I know I have to be really really good this week[msneek]

typical sunday at dads, ate what i shouldnt have, but nowhere as near as bad as i used to!!! no very big bars of chocalate, nor many bikkies! a few shortcakes, yummy[msnwink] and a pice or two of fruit cake! well it would be mean to say no
he is 82[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
hubby Steve is in hospital tomorrow having an operation on his shoulder, so will be with him and not near the kitchen!!! mind you am sure they have snack shops!![msnwink]

Hi all,
Not such a bad weekend,although I did make a great chilli last night with cornbread topping(a la Nigella Lawson[msnwink])
Have done a session on the cross trainer and treadmill this evening and intend to follow a pattern of being really good during the week but more relaxed at weekends to take account of various "events" and the fact that Christmas is a time for enjoyment! The scales say I lost 2lbs last week, which is great, so the same this week would be fantastic!

Have been making my Slimming World soups today. First one is Chickpea & Coriander, which is one of Delia's that I adapted. General consensus at home appears to be lacking in actual taste. Was not made with a chicken or vegetable stock as base, but relied on the veggies & chickpeas. So am going to make up a stock (veggie) and add that to the leftovers and see if that tastes any better. Wild mushroom is cooling as I type, and will finish that off tomorrow. Once I am sure of the tastes I will post recipes - in case a session of Domestic Goddess overcomes any of you!
DH said please don't have a cooking fest, please have a chucking out fest - we are decorating and contents of spare room are spread all over the house at the mo, along with my hundreds of books which I have promised to go through.
