1 Pound = 2+ Dollars - how much higher?

I need to exchange money as well and was suprised to see it at nearly 1.8 again. I am in no rush so will change it next week when they start trading again

I am looking with interest as like I said earlier in the week, IRAN -US thing is making the US dollar very week due to uncertainty with oil.

M and S are offering 1.76 this morning as the tourist rate!!!!

I think it's more closely linked to recent announcements by the Federal Reserve that they will hold interest rates and see how the US economy fares over the next few months. Whatever the reason, it's heading in the right direction for me.

Just checked my bank statement and I got 1.73 2 weeks ago in New York so quite pleased with that[msnwink]

Just checked the M & S Site 1.78 at the tourist rate this morning - if it gets to 1.80 think I will have to buy.[msnwink]

Just to let everyone know I sent some money across today and got 1.82

Its a shame we all haven't got crystal balls !
