If you fancy Key West and don't mind the drive to Fort Myers ( about 3 hours) theres the boat trip I've mentioned before:

May well be cheaper than the plane and if you get 2 x one ways you can stay a couple of days; do the Champagne Sunset Cruise from Mallory Harbour or something similar.

Wanted to post as just put my avatar on.
It is my brothers 50th this weekend, and all he is having is a party at home...which means loads of people and lots of booze.
Now we have the villa...our holidays in future may well include some of the great ideas you have all mentioned.
I fancy the early morning air balloon!
Also fancy the 'back-stage disney trips'
What is the general feeling about them.

Another alternative is to arrange the 3-hour 'Full Adventure' session at Buena Vista Water Sports in Lake Bryan. We did this and it was very good. Involves Jeski, Waterski and the exhilarating 'tube' riding. Suitable for absolute beginners and great fun for all the family.

(I checked the sublinks the best I could Blott, and found no interlopers)

Lucy - would you believe that just as an experiment I typed in www.floridaaircharter.com to see if there was anything on the end of it ... and lo and behold it's exactly what I was thinking of. They have a selection of aircraft from small-ish twins right up to Learjets. Most of the twins look to be configured as 6 seats but you might be able to put hubby in the right-hand seat in the cockpit.
I've no idea of cost, other than it isn't going to be cheap. Couldn't hurt to give them a call though.

Thanks to Steve who very kindling did more research for me and for all those who are interested chartering a flight for a day down to KW is around $3000 - so not as expensive as I first thought[msnwink]
