We have a membership to Sam's Club - I'm not familiar with Costco. If Costco is a warehouse club then I imagine you would only need to belong to one or the other. Warehouse clubs sell everything from grocery items, to health and beauty aids to paper products to detergents. They also have an automotive dept and electronics dept. and more. Everything is packaged in large quantiies which is why there is a savings.

Does Sams Club offer anything different from Costco, i.e. if you're members of Costco, is it really worth joining the other ?
Depending what it is you wish to purchase there can be a difference in price or model from one store to the other, it may be worth doing your sums and seeing if you could still save money if only buying the one item.We found it worth being in both as we use the costco at home.

Try http://www.samsclub.com and Amy already gave you the info <blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Membership is the same as Costco, they need prove of Id as costco did,you can go in and view before you join.
There are lots of UK members but Sam's Club stores are only available in USA.

Appreciate that but with Costco you have to belong to a certain professional bodies or work for certain companies, Ie Police Fire, Hospitals, legal or banking do you mean that they adopt the same approach in terms of business qualifications
Thanks

We don't belong to anything but still were accepted at Costco! Don't forget that if you have a Florida STR home, that is a 'business'.

Do you have to show proof of villa ownership?

You can just walk into Costco with proof of id anywhere in the UK and buy an individual membership. There are no special requirements (apart from the membership fee) and you can start shopping as soon as they've taken your photo for the membership card.

This is totally out of subject. Just wondering this Sams Club, if this is the one in 192, we passed it so many times going to Walmart and Home Depot, I honestly thought Sams Club is a club house (like a dance club). If I only knew that this is like Costco warehouse, we could have stop there when we were looking for stuff to get for the house.

Hi All
Sams club does have a different range to Costco. I went to have a look. Its not different enough to warrant joining as I am a Costco member but if you arent have a look round you can get a free day member and join if you like it.

last year there was a coupon in one of the free mags you get in orlando area advertising free pass to sams club but when we went to sams club i could not find the coupon. i paid the membership fee to join and after i had browsed the shop and bought what i wanted i got a refund of my membership fee as i would not be back to florida again for another year. the staff had advised me to do this and were not at all put out when i asked for my refund.

We joined Sams Club this August. They must be desperate for new members as they offered us the 'Business' membership at the normal membership price (think it was about $30). We also didn't have any photo ID with us but they just let us join anyway. We didn't join until we had looked round to see if there was anything we wanted. Ended up buying a laptop computer for $949 (£540). Petrol is also cheaper than anywhere else and you have to be a member to use their petrol pumps.
