Why are charter flights so expensive?

Was that booked round about last November? They had a bit of sale going on at the time, I got a roundtrip to Boston for the late May bank holiday at US$385 which was a bit of a bargain. At the time it converted to about £230, with the current exchange rate it would have been more like £210.

Incidentally had an e-mail from Airline Network (www.airline-network.co.uk) yesterday advertising flights to MCO for £253 inc tax up to 30th Apr (exc Easter).

As I work in a school we can only go during school hols. We are coming over at Easter and it is costing over £3000 for 2 adults, 2 children incl car for 14 days. It was the only direct flight we could get and we booked in early Dec. Still having to have 2 days off school at that.

There are charters after easter at £199 at present including all taxes etc
