Did you take a chance not having insurance when you booked the villa and flights - or was it an annual insurance that you renewed?
A lot of money to loose if things had not panned out[msnoo][msnembarrased]

Yes just our annual family policy to renew so was covered throughout. [msnsmile]

hi garry,
do you recommend the fairfx card as a better means of travel money as opposed to cash/cheques. are they accepted in most places? just got my tickets as well but through the bank at 1.56
-
We find FairFX really convenient.
It's a Mastercard so accepted pretty much anywhere. The rates are really good all the time compared to high street.
A few people have mentioned the insecurity of having your money without protection so there's that to consider. We have a split of about 60% FairFX and 40% cash dollars.
Bought park tickets using FairFX Mastercard and got them at 1.6050

It'd around $20 per adult and $13 per child i think.
Sounds lovely and to be able to get away from the crowds for the fireworks will be great!!!!

We're gonna have to go with the crowds[msncry] Just tried to book Wishes Dessert party and there is no availability for the 20th August [msncry][msncry]

I'm not sure that August dates have been released yet? Not sure why i think that but i'm sure i read on another forum very recently that they had only just started accepting May 2011 bookings. If i remember or come across it again then i'll be sure to let you know.

The woman I spoke to at Disney didn't seem very clued up on it at all (unusual for Disney staff) so if you here anything I would be very grateful. She had a price so thought that it must be fully booked but wasn't sure.

Found it! No dates after May as yet. They do seem to hold the dates as if they are not continuing with the Wishes Dessert Party but that's been the case for over a year so it continues.... Here's the post i remember reading:
<span style="color:red">The dates for August haven't been released yet, but there are a few of us keeping an eye on this so someone will report back as soon as August is bookable.
The view of Wishes is excellent, Tink flies right over your head. There is a good selection of desserts as well as some fruit - pineapple, strawberries and a few different kinds of melon if I remember correctly. There is also tea, coffee and lemonade.
The desserts I remember from August 2010 are creme brulee, cannolis, chocoloate mousse, brownies, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, rice krispie treats, tiramisu, mango shooters, truffles (dark, milk and white chocolate), a couple of varieties of fruit tart... There was more, but I just can't remember it all! My personal favourites were the cannolis and truffles.
I would say it's definitely worth it, although it's not something I'd necessarily do every trip. I would certainly book it if I was going during one of the peak times, such as Easter or Christmas, when having a 'private' viewing area is bliss!

Go here, did a quick test and you can still get a booking for April so keep checking for when August appears.
Good luck!
