Hi Liesa,
We usually fly Monarch in the summer and no complaints at all.
awww your a great bunch, this alone makes me feel better....
No seat back tvs in Monarch, but food was good. Our first flight was with Monarch and we flew to Egypt with them in 2006.
thanks Jan xx
Hi All
Just to bring this topic back to life. We're thinking of flying with Monarch to Sanford in September. Their "Monarch Premium" upgrade seems to be a good option for a little bit more room, individual screens etc. and 30kg baggage allowance
Has anyone used this recently to Sanford? Any experiences (good or bad!) to report?
Anyone know what type of plane Monarch use to fly to Sanford? Looking at their web site, it appears to be an Airbus A330, or a 767, 'cause these are the only ones with a Premium cabin.
Thanks
Steve
how can we upgrade if all we know is its 'monarch' sounds good to me, sounds like somethink i need to do.....
Just to report that we flew Monarch economy in May. Everything was fine, staff friendly, food OK (you can't rave about aircraft food anyway!), though no seat back TVs.
Not sure about upgrading though Liesa as we went through the flythomascook website to book ours.
This is going through the Monarch web site ([edited out]) to book direct with them. There's more information on their web site about the Premier Cabin ([edited out]). They do say:
"To arrange an upgrade, please contact your tour operator directly. Upgrades cannot be arranged through Monarch Airlines directly."
I takes the cost of 2 adults and 1 child flying from just under £1300 to around £1800. If it keeps a 3 year old happier, it's money well spent!

I flew Premium with Monarch to Sandford about 18 months ago. The seats had extra width, legroom and individual tvs. Very comfy and the food wasn't bad at all. It was well worth paying the extra for premium.
Another advantage is a dedicated chech in (or skip the queue) which saved us at least an hour waiting in line.
